Για απόφαση απομάκρυνσής της από αίθουσα του Β΄ Δημοτικού Σχολείου Λακατάμειας κάνει λόγο σε ανακοίνωσή της η Ομοσπονδία Συνδέσμων Γονέων Δημοσίων και Κοινοτικών Νηπιαγωγείων Λευκωσίας, εκφράζοντας την ένστασή της και ζητώντας αναστολή της εφαρμογής της. Εκφράζοντας έκπληξη για την απόφαση που της κοινοποιήθηκε, όπως αναφέρει, με επιστολή ημερομηνίας 18 Ιουνίου 2026 από τη Σχολική Εφορεία Λακατάμειας, η Ομοσπονδία επισημαίνει στην ανακοίνωσή της ότι χρησιμοποιεί επί σειρά ετών την αίθουσα στο Β΄ Δημοτικό Σχολείο Λακατάμειας. «Η εν λόγω απόφαση εγείρει σοβαρά ζητήματα νομιμότητας, χρηστής διοίκησης και αναλογικότητας», σημειώνει, αναφέροντας ότι «η επιστολή δεν περιέχει επαρκή και συγκεκριμένη αιτιολογία που να δικαιολογεί την άμεση απομάκρυνση της Ομοσπονδίας» μέχρι τις 30 Ιουλίου 2026. Προσθέτει, επίσης, ότι «δεν παρατίθενται στοιχεία, αποφάσεις ή αντικειμενικά δεδομένα που να τεκμηριώνουν γιατί η συγκεκριμένη αίθουσα πρέπει να εκκενωθεί άμεσα και γιατί δεν μπορούν να εξεταστούν άλλες λύσεις» και ότι «η απόφαση φαίνεται να λήφθηκε χωρίς προηγούμενη διαβούλευση με την Ομοσπονδία, χωρίς να δοθεί η δυνατότητα υποβολής θέσεων ή εισηγήσεων και χωρίς να ληφθούν υπόψη οι σοβαρές επιπτώσεις που θα επιφέρει στη λειτουργία ενός θεσμικού φορέα, ο οποίος εκπροσωπεί οργανωμένα τους γονείς των δημόσιων και κοινοτικών νηπιαγωγείων της επαρχίας Λευκωσίας». Η Ομοσπονδία ζητά από τη Σχολική Εφορεία την άμεση αναστολή της εφαρμογής της απόφασης μέχρι να ολοκληρωθούν διαβουλεύσεις μεταξύ της Σχολικής Εφορείας, του Υπουργείου Παιδείας και της Ομοσπονδίας, όπως επίσης και τις σχετικές αποφάσεις, πρακτικά συνεδριάσεων, γνωματεύσεις ή αλληλογραφία που αποτέλεσαν τη βάση της απόφασης. Τέλος αναφέρεται πως «η Ομοσπονδία επιφυλάσσεται πλήρως όλων των νόμιμων δικαιωμάτων της και κάθε δικαστικού ή διοικητικού μέτρου που δύναται να λάβει προς προστασία των συμφερόντων της και της απρόσκοπτης συνέχισης της λειτουργίας της». Την άμεση παύση κάθε προσπάθειας συλλογικού διασυρμού των Αστυνομικών, των Δεσμοφυλάκων και του συνόλου των κρατικών εργαζομένων και τη δημόσια αποκατάσταση όσων υπηρετούν με συνέπεια και ευθύνη, ζητά με σημερινή του ανακοίνωση το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο Παγκύπριας Συντεχνίας ΙΣΟΤΗΤΑ, προσθέτοντας ότι δεν θα ανεχθεί καμία περικοπή του δικαιώματος, ούτε μείωση απολαβών εις βάρος των ασθενούντων, ούτε τροποποίηση του πλαισίου των αναρρωτικών αδειών. Στην ανακοίνωσή της, η συντεχνία καταγγέλλει «τη συστηματική προσπάθεια καλλιέργειας αρνητικού κλίματος σε βάρος των Αστυνομικών, των Δεσμοφυλάκων και του συνόλου των κρατικών εργαζομένων — ανθρώπων που καθημερινά, υπό αντίξοες και συχνά επικίνδυνες συνθήκες, κρατούν όρθιες υπηρεσίες τις οποίες η ίδια η Πολιτεία έχει επί χρόνια υποστελεχώσει και απαξιώσει». «Πρόκειται για επαγγέλματα με από τα υψηλότερα ποσοστά επαγγελματικού στρες, μετατραυματικών διαταραχών και σωματικής φθοράς διεθνώς. Σε τέτοιες συνθήκες, τα αυξημένα ποσοστά πραγματικής νοσηρότητας δεν είναι ύποπτα· είναι αναμενόμενα — και είναι, σε μεγάλο βαθμό, αποτέλεσμα της ίδιας της εργασίας», αναφέρεται στη συνέχεια. «Η αναρρωτική άδεια είναι κατοχυρωμένο δικαίωμα, ρυθμισμένο μέχρι κεραίας, και ο έλεγχός της δεν χρειάζεται «νέα μέτρα»: τα εργαλεία υπάρχουν εδώ και δεκαετίες και είναι αυστηρά. Κάθε άδεια χορηγείται με ιατρικό πιστοποιητικό σε καθορισμένο έντυπο· κάθε παράταση περνά από Ιατροσυμβούλιο Κυβερνητικών Ιατρών· η αρμόδια αρχή δικαιούται οποτεδήποτε να καλέσει υπάλληλο σε έκτακτη ιατρική εξέταση· και όπου υπάρχει αμφιβολία για την αντικειμενικότητα πιστοποιητικού, να διεξάγει έρευνα», εξηγεί περαιτέρω. «Η θέση μας είναι μία και ξεκάθαρη: η κατάχρηση, όπου πράγματι υπάρχει και αποδεικνύεται, αντιμετωπίζεται εξατομικευμένα και με τις υπάρχουσες διαδικασίες — δεν αντιμετωπίζεται με συλλογική τιμωρία και με οριζόντια συρρίκνωση των δικαιωμάτων όλων. Αυτό που χρειάζεται είναι η προστασία των πραγματικά ασθενούντων, όχι η υποβάθμιση των δικαιωμάτων του συνόλου των εργαζομένων», τονίζεται σχετικά. Ως προς δε τη σκέψη να καταβάλλεται μειωμένο ποσοστό των απολαβών κατά τη διάρκεια της ασθένειας, η συντεχνία επισημαίνει ότι «ένα τέτοιο μέτρο δεν αγγίζει κανέναν επιτήδειο, αλλά πλήττει κατευθείαν τον εργαζόμενο που δίνει αληθινή μάχη με σοβαρό ή χρόνιο πρόβλημα υγείας, πολλές φορές πρόβλημα που γέννησε η ίδια του η δουλειά», προσθέτοντας ότι είναι, ταυτόχρονα, άδικο και αναποτελεσματικό, καθώς τιμωρεί το θύμα και αφήνει ανέγγιχτη την όποια πραγματική αιτία. «Με βάση όλα τα πιο πάνω, η Παγκύπρια Συντεχνία ΙΣΟΤΗΤΑ, που εκπροσωπεί χιλιάδες κρατικούς εργαζομένους, περιλαμβανομένων, μέσω του Κλάδου Αστυνομικού Σώματος και του Κλάδου Δεσμοφυλάκων, απαιτεί την άμεση παύση κάθε προσπάθειας συλλογικού διασυρμού και τη δημόσια αποκατάσταση όσων υπηρετούν με συνέπεια και ευθύνη. Δηλώνουμε κατηγορηματικά ότι δεν θα ανεχθούμε καμία περικοπή του δικαιώματος, ούτε μείωση απολαβών εις βάρος των ασθενούντων, ούτε τροποποίηση του πλαισίου των αναρρωτικών αδειών. Αντί να στοχοποιεί συλλογικά τους εργαζομένους, ας στελεχώσει επιτέλους η Πολιτεία τις υπηρεσίες, ας οργανωθεί ορθά, ας θωρακίσει και ας διορθώσει τους ελεγκτικούς της μηχανισμούς και ας μεταχειριστεί το προσωπικό της ανθρώπινα», σημειώνεται ακολούθως. «Να αντιμετωπιστεί η όποια κατάχρηση με τις διαδικασίες που ήδη υπάρχουν, όχι να περικοπεί το δικαίωμα και να διασυρθούν οι εργαζόμενοι. Η ΙΣΟΤΗΤΑ θα υπερασπιστεί την αξιοπρέπεια και τα δικαιώματα των μελών της και του συνόλου των κρατικών εργαζομένων με κάθε νόμιμο μέσο», καταλήγει η ανακοίνωση.
