Οι αρχές στην περιφέρεια της Χερσώνας, στο νότιο τμήμα της ουκρανικής επικράτειας, παρότρυναν χθες τους κατοίκους της ομώνυμης πόλης, της πρωτεύουσάς της, να απομακρυνθούν εσπευσμένα, λόγω του εντεινόμενου κινδύνου εξαιτίας των ρωσικών πληγμάτων, που εντείνονται και πλέον μπορεί να αφήσουν το αστικό κέντρο αυτό χωρίς ηλεκτρισμό και θέρμανση για παρατεταμένη περίοδο. «Απευθύνομαι για άλλη μια φορά στους κατοίκους της Χερσώνας, ιδιαίτερα στις οικογένειες με παιδιά και στους ηλικιωμένους: αν έχετε τη δυνατότητα (...) φύγετε -- σας παρακαλώ!», ανέφερε μέσω Telegram ο περιφερειάρχης Ολεξάντρ Προκούντιν. Αναφέρθηκε σε «εξαιρετικά δύσκολη κατάσταση ασφαλείας» στη Χερσώνα, πόλη με πληθυσμό 280.000 κατοίκων προπολεμικά, όπου «ο εχθρός εντείνει κάθε μέρα τις επιθέσεις εναντίον βασικών υποδομών». «Την περασμένη νύχτα, οι ρωσικές δυνάμεις επιτέθηκαν ξανά στον σταθμό θέρμανσης της πόλης της Χερσώνας με βόμβες ολίσθησης (...). Η εγκατάσταση υπέστη πολύ σοβαρές ζημιές», συνέχισε ο κ. Προκούντιν. «Η Χερσώνα μπορεί να βρεθεί χωρίς ηλεκτρισμό, ούτε θέρμανση, όχι για ώρες, ή ημέρες, αλλά για μακρά περίοδο», προειδοποίησε. Τον περασμένο χειμώνα οι ρωσικές ένοπλες δυνάμεις έπληξαν επανειλημμένα ουκρανικούς ηλεκτροπαραγωγικούς σταθμούς, βυθίζοντας κατά διαστήματα εκατομμύρια πολίτες στο σκοτάδι και στο κρύο. Economic sentiment in Cyprus improved for the fourth consecutive month in July, on improved business confidence in the services and retail trade sectors, according to the benchmark index compiled by the Economics Research Centre of the University of Cyprus.
