Ο ισραηλινός πρωθυπουργός Μπενιαμίν Νετανιάχου τόνισε χθες Κυριακή ότι «απορρίπτει» τον αμερικανικό οδικό χάρτη για τη Λωρίδα της Γάζας, τον οποίο αποδέχτηκε η Χαμάς, παίρνοντας αποστάσεις από τον σύμμαχό του, τον πρόεδρο των ΗΠΑ Ντόναλντ Τραμπ, αποπειρώμενος εμφανώς να ικανοποιήσει την εκλογική του βάση, ενόψει των κρίσιμων εκλογών του Οκτωβρίου, που πλησιάζουν στον ορίζοντα. Όμως για τον Νικολάι Μλαντένοφ, τον ύπατο αντιπρόσωπο του «Συμβουλίου Ειρήνης» του αμερικανού προέδρου για τη Γάζα, πρόκειται για τον «μοναδικό δρόμο» που πρέπει να ακολουθηθεί για να αποτραπεί επίθεση παρόμοια με εκείνη της 7ης Οκτωβρίου 2023, όπως τόνισε ο βούλγαρος διπλωμάτης στη ισραηλινό Κανάλι 12. Ο ισραηλινός πρωθυπουργός Νετανιάχου είχε ήδη εκφράσει τις επιφυλάξεις του για το κείμενο το οποίο στη θεωρία ξεκινά τη δεύτερη φάση του σχεδίου Τραμπ, ορίζοντας ως απαραίτητη προϋπόθεση για την απόσυρση του στρατού του από τον θύλακο τον «αληθινό» αφοπλισμό του παλαιστινιακού ισλαμιστικού κινήματος Χαμάς. Το κείμενο προκάλεσε έξαλλες αντιδράσεις από τους ακροδεξιούς συμμάχους του ισραηλινού πρωθυπουργού, που απέρριψαν το κείμενο 15 σημείων το οποίο παρουσιάστηκε στα τέλη του Ιουλίου από το «Συμβούλιο Ειρήνης». Η Χαμάς κάλεσε τους Αμερικανούς να ασκήσουν πίεση στον Μπενιαμίν Νετανιάχου και στην κυβέρνησή του προκειμένου «να τηρήσουν τον οδικό χάρτη και να μην εμποδίσουν τη διαδικασία για εσωτερικούς πολιτικούς ή εκλογικούς λόγους», τόνισε στο Γαλλικό Πρακτορείο μέλος του πολιτικού γραφείου του κινήματος, ο Μπασέμ Ναΐμ. Ο ισραηλινός στρατός «δεν θα κάνει καμιά απόσυρση όσο η Χαμάς δεν έχει αφοπλιστεί αληθινά», τόνισε χθες ο κ. Νετανιάχου κατά τη διάρκεια υπουργικού του συμβουλίου, τονίζοντας πως το Ισραήλ «δεν αποδέχεται το έγγραφο 15 σημείων». Χαρακτήρισε τον αμερικανό πρόεδρο Τραμπ «τον μεγαλύτερο φίλο (του Ισραήλ) στον Λευκό Οίκο», αλλά άφησε να γίνει σαφές πως θα του εναντιωθεί: οι Αμερικανοί «έχουν ιδέες, ορισμένες είναι αποδεκτές για εμάς, άλλες όχι, και ξέρουμε πώς να υπερασπίσουμε τις θέσεις μας σε αυτά τα ζητήματα». Η σχέση των δυο ανδρών φάνηκε να υφίσταται φθορά τον Απρίλιο, όταν εν μέσω διαπραγματεύσεων για να κλειστεί συμφωνία κατάπαυσης του πυρός ανάμεσα στις ΗΠΑ και το Ιράν, ο Ντόναλντ Τραμπ είχε καταφερθεί με ιδιαίτερα βαριές εκφράσεις εναντίον του ισραηλινού συμμάχου του, κατηγορώντας τον ότι ήγειρε εμπόδια. Αντιδημοφιλές Ο κ. Νετανιάχου, ο πρωθυπουργός που έχει παραμείνει περισσότερο στο αξίωμα από οποιονδήποτε άλλον πολιτικό στη σύγχρονη ιστορία του Ισραήλ, φέρεται κατά δημοσκοπήσεις να μην έχει εγγυημένη τη νίκη στις βουλευτικές εκλογές της 27ης Οκτωβρίου, τις πρώτες μετά την επίθεση της Χαμάς στο νότιο τμήμα της ισραηλινής επικράτειας την 7η Οκτωβρίου 2023, το έναυσμα του πολέμου στη Λωρίδα της Γάζας. Δημοσκοπήσεις υποδεικνύουν επίσης ότι το αμερικανικό σχέδιο είναι αντιδημοφιλές στο μεγαλύτερο μέρος του εκλογικού σώματος της ισραηλινής δεξιάς. Οι σύμμαχοί της στην άκρα δεξιά, πιο ακραιφνείς, απαιτούν να ματαιωθεί. Η Χαμάς δέχτηκε το κείμενο, το οποίο, τουλάχιστον κατά τη δημόσια εκδοχή του που δημοσιοποιήθηκε από το «Συμβούλιο Ειρήνης» του Ντόναλντ Τραμπ, συνδέει τον αφοπλισμό της με την προοδευτική απόσυρση των ισραηλινών στρατευμάτων από τους τομείς του θυλάκου που κατέχουν. Αναφερόμενος στις ισραηλινές ανησυχίες μετά τη συνάντηση που είχε τη Δευτέρα με τον πρωθυπουργό Νετανιάχου, ο Νικολάι Μλαντένοφ σημείωσε πως ο στρατός του Ισραήλ δεν θα αποσυρθεί παρά μετά τον «πλήρη» αφοπλισμό της Χαμάς. Ο ύπατος αντιπρόσωπος για τη Γάζα δήλωσε χθες πως βρίσκονται σε εξέλιξη συνομιλίες με το Ισραήλ που ευελπιστεί ότι θα έχουν «θετική κατάληξη για όλους». «Αν γίνει αληθινός αφοπλισμός, τότε το Ισραήλ θα αποσυρθεί», υποστήριξε. Το κείμενο ορίζει ότι τον αφοπλισμό και την αποθήκευση του οπλοστασίου της Χαμάς θα εγγυηθεί η Εθνική Επιτροπή Διακυβέρνησης της Γάζας (ΕΕΔΓ), παλαιστινιακό τεχνοκρατικό όργανο επιφορτισμένο με τη διαχείριση των καθημερινών υποθέσεων στη μεταβατική φάση· τα μέλη της παραμένουν αποκλεισμένα στην Αίγυπτο, καθώς το Ισραήλ αρνείται να τους επιτρέψει την είσοδο στον θύλακο. Όχι στον «εικονικό αφοπλισμό» Στη Λωρίδα της Γάζας εφαρμόζεται από τον Οκτώβριο του 2025 επισφαλής κατάπαυση του πυρός. Η Αίγυπτος, μεσολαβητής-κλειδί, παρότρυνε χθες όλα τα μέρη να «τιμήσουν τις δεσμεύσεις τους» και να απέχουν από οποιαδήποτε ενέργεια θα μπορούσε να θέσει υπό αμφισβήτηση την πρόοδο που έχει σημειωθεί, κατ’ αυτήν, κατά τη διάρκεια συνομιλίας ανάμεσα στον υπουργό Εξωτερικών Μπαντρ Αμπντελάτι και τον Νικολάι Μλαντένοφ. Η Χαμάς λέει εδώ και πολύ καιρό πως ο αφοπλισμός της θα είναι προοδευτικός και δεν θα υπάρξει μονομερής παράδοση του οπλοστασίου της μονομιάς, καθώς και ότι δεν θα δώσει τα όπλα της στο Ισραήλ. Από την άλλη, η ισραηλινή κυβέρνηση αξιώνει την καταστροφή του οπλοστασίου της. Ο Μπενιαμίν Νετανιάχου, αναφερόμενος σε συνομιλίες με τις ΗΠΑ, επέμεινε χθες στην απαίτησή του το παλαιστινιακό ισλαμιστικό κίνημα να καταθέσει «τα βαριά όπλα, τα λιγότερο βαριά όπλα -- όλα τα όπλα», τονίζοντας ότι δεν θα αποδεχτεί «εικονικό αφοπλισμό» της. Ο στρατός του Ισραήλ μοιάζει να έχει μειώσει --χωρίς όμως να έχει σταματήσει-- τις επιχειρήσεις του στη Λωρίδα της Γάζας μετά την ανακοίνωση του αφοπλισμού της Χαμάς την περασμένη εβδομάδα. Ανάμεσα στα επεισόδια που αναφέρθηκαν χθες: ισραηλινά πυρά τραυμάτισαν παιδί, το οποίο εισήχθη σε νοσοκομείο στη Χαν Γιούνις (νότια), σύμφωνα με την πολιτική προστασία. Από τη 10η Οκτωβρίου 2025, τουλάχιστον 1.258 Παλαιστίνιοι έχουν σκοτωθεί στη Λωρίδα της Γάζας σε ισραηλινές στρατιωτικές επιχειρήσεις, σύμφωνα με το υπουργείο Υγείας στον θύλακο, οι αριθμοί του οποίου χαρακτηρίζονται αξιόπιστοι από τον ΟΗΕ. Το στενό του Ορμούζ, πλέον το σημαντικότερο διακύβευμα του πολέμου στη Μέση Ανατολή, θα παραμείνει κλειστό όσο η Ουάσιγκτον δεν αποδέχεται «όλους» τους όρους που θέτει η Τεχεράνη, επέμειναν το σαββατοκύριακο οι Φρουροί της Επανάστασης, μοιάζοντας να διαγράφουν όποιες ελπίδες υπήρχαν για ταχεία επίλυση της σύγκρουσης. Υποβαθμίζοντας τις ιρανικές απαιτήσεις, ο αμερικανός πρόεδρος Ντόναλντ Τραμπ δήλωσε κατά τη διάρκεια συνέντευξης που παραχώρησε στον ειδησεογραφικό ιστότοπο Axios χθες ότι οι ΗΠΑ παραμένουν «διακριτικές» και περιορίζονται να «παρατηρούν το Ιράν με τον καλπάζοντα πληθωρισμό του» και την οικονομία του σε «πολύ κακή κατάσταση», σε βαθμό που κατ’ αυτόν εγείρεται κίνδυνος να μην μπορεί να καταβάλλει μισθούς στους στρατιωτικούς του. Οι ΗΠΑ επέβαλαν εκ νέου τον Ιούλιο αποκλεισμό των ιρανικών λιμανιών στον Κόλπο ο οποίος, πάντα κατά τον αμερικανό πρόεδρο, επέτεινε την οικονομική κρίση στο Ιράν. «Θα φέρει αποτέλεσμα. Πάντα φέρνει αποτέλεσμα», έκρινε ο ρεπουμπλικάνος, που έχει πολλαπλασιάσει τις αντιφατικές δηλώσεις για τον πόλεμο. «Είναι σαν παρτίδα σκακιού», πρόσθεσε. Στην καρδιά της σύγκρουσης βρίσκεται πλέον το στενό του Ορμούζ, που έκλεισε η Τεχεράνη και οι ισχυροί Φρουροί της Επανάστασης τόνισε πως θεωρούν «θέατρο του πολέμου κι όχι μόνο θαλάσσια οδό». «Η τρέχουσα στρατηγική μας είναι να διατηρήσουμε αυτό το στενό κλειστό ωσότου ο εχθρός να αποδεχτεί όλους τους όρους μας», συνόψισαν. Πολύ πάνω ακόμη κι από τα ζητήματα του προγράμματος πυρηνικής ενέργειας και των πυραύλων του Ιράν, που επικαλέστηκε --μεταξύ άλλων-- όταν εξαπέλυε την αμερικανοϊσραηλινή επίθεση στα τέλη Φεβρουαρίου, το να ανοίξει ξανά αυτό το πέρασμα ζωτικής σημασίας για το διεθνές εμπόριο υδρογονανθράκων αποτελεί την προτεραιότητα υπ’ αριθμόν 1 για τον Ντόναλντ Τραμπ. Τις τελευταίες ημέρες επαναλάμβανε ότι οι υποτιθέμενες διαπραγματεύσεις για αυτό πήγαιναν πολύ καλά και ότι θα ξανάνοιγε άμεσα. Όμως οι όροι που έθεσε προχθές Σάββατο η Τεχεράνη πιθανόν οδηγούν σε νέο μπραντεφέρ: οι ΗΠΑ πρέπει να «βάλουν οριστικά τέλος στον πόλεμο και στην επιθετικότητα» εναντίον του Ιράν και των συμμάχων του, συμπεριλαμβανομένων αυτών στην Υεμένη και στο Ιράκ, να προχωρήσουν στην άρση του αποκλεισμού των ιρανικών λιμανιών, στην άρση των οικονομικών κυρώσεων και να αποδεσμεύσουν «χωρίς όρους» τα παγωμένα ιρανικά περιουσιακά στοιχεία. Πολλές από αυτές τις διευθετήσεις πάντως περιέχονταν ήδη στο μνημόνιο κατανόησης που υπέγραψαν οι πρόεδροι των δυο κρατών στα μέσα Ιουνίου, κι υποτίθεται πως άνοιξε τον δρόμο για να διεξαχθούν ευρύτερες διαπραγματεύσεις, ενώ επέτρεψε να ανοίξει για μερικές ημέρες το στενό και να πέσουν οι τιμές του πετρελαίου, προτού η διαδικασία εκτροχιαστεί. Ενώ έχουν αποκαλυφθεί διαφωνίες ανάμεσα στις ΗΠΑ και το Ισραήλ στο πλαίσιο του πολέμου, ο ισραηλινός πρωθυπουργός Μπενιαμίν Νετανιάχου επέμεινε χθες στην πτυχή που αφορά το πρόγραμμα πυρηνικής ενέργειας του Ιράν, λέγοντας πως «με συμφωνία ή χωρίς», η Ισλαμική Δημοκρατία, ορκισμένος εχθρός του εβραϊκού κράτους, «δεν θα αποκτήσει πυρηνικά όπλα». «Μισο-διαπραγματευόμαστε» Διαψεύδοντας για ακόμη μια φορά ότι διεξάγονται διαπραγματεύσεις με την Ουάσιγκτον --όπως έχει υποστηρίξει επανειλημμένα ο αμερικανός πρόεδρος-- ο επικεφαλής της ιρανικής διπλωματίας έκανε λόγο χθες περί «ανταλλαγής μηνυμάτων μέσω ενδιάμεσων». «Δεν θα μιλούσα για διαπραγμάτευση. Θα μιλούσα για ανταλλαγή μηνυμάτων», σημείωσε ο Αμπάς Αραγτσί. Απέκλεισε κάθε ενδεχόμενο συνέχισης των συνομιλιών όσο δεν σταματούν «οι αμερικανικές παραβιάσεις» της καταρχήν συμφωνίας, του λεγόμενου μνημονίου κατανόησης του Ισλαμαμπάντ. Economic sentiment in Cyprus improved for the fourth consecutive month in July, on improved business confidence in the services and retail trade sectors, according to the benchmark index compiled by the Economics Research Centre of the University of Cyprus. The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI-CypERC) increased by 0.7 points to 101.5 compared with June, but remained far below the monthly index throughout the past 12 months. Real GDP growth in Cyprus is expected to slow from 3.8% in 2025 to 2.7% this year and to strengthen to 3.1% next year, according to the latest quarterly outlook by the University of Cyprus.
