Αναφορές σε Ελλάδα, Ισραήλ και Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία Στο πλαίσιο της ομιλίας του, ο Ερχιουρμάν αναφέρθηκε και στις περιφερειακές συνεργασίες στην ανατολική Μεσόγειο, ασκώντας κριτική στις σχέσεις Ελλάδας, Ισραήλ και Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας. Όπως είπε, «το Ισραήλ, που αυτή τη στιγμή σκοτώνει παιδιά στη Γάζα μπροστά στα μάτια όλου του κόσμου, η Ελλάδα και η ελληνοκυπριακή διοίκηση της νότιας Κύπρου έχουν συγκροτήσει μια τριμερή συμμαχία». Ενεργειακά έργα και Τουρκία Ο Τ/Κ ηγέτης υποστήριξε ότι ενεργειακά σχέδια στην ανατολική Μεσόγειο δεν μπορούν, κατά την άποψή του, να προχωρήσουν χωρίς τη συμμετοχή της Τουρκίας και των Τουρκοκυπρίων, αναφερόμενος ειδικά στο έργο ηλεκτρικής διασύνδεσης Great Sea Interconnector (GSI). «Το GSI δεν μπορεί να υλοποιηθεί αφήνοντας την Τουρκία εκτός. Η μεταφορά φυσικού αερίου δεν μπορεί να πραγματοποιηθεί αφήνοντας την Τουρκία εκτός. Και δεν μπορεί σε καμία περίπτωση να πραγματοποιηθεί αφήνοντας τους Τουρκοκύπριους εκτός». Πρόσθεσε επίσης ότι «η δική μου πλευρά είναι η προσήλωση στους κανόνες. Μέχρι να πεθάνω θα υπερασπίζομαι την κανονικότητα των κανόνων. Εκεί όπου δεν υπάρχουν κανόνες, είδαμε παιδιά να σκοτώνονται στη Γάζα, στη Σρεμπρένιτσα και στη Ρουάντα. Το είδαμε όχι μόνο σε αυτή τη γεωγραφία, αλλά και αλλού». Οι σχέσεις με την Τουρκία και ο ρόλος της ως εγγυήτριας δύναμης Ο Ερχιουρμάν αναφέρθηκε και στις σχέσεις του ψευδοκράτους με την Τουρκία, τονίζοντας τον ιδιαίτερο χαρακτήρα τους και υπογραμμίζοντας το ρόλο της Άγκυρας στο Κυπριακό. «Οι σχέσεις της Τουρκικής Δημοκρατίας με την Τουρκική Δημοκρατία της Βόρειας Κύπρου είναι τόσο ιδιαίτερες, που δεν μπορούν να συγκριθούν με τις σχέσεις οποιωνδήποτε άλλων δύο κρατών στον κόσμο. Η Τουρκική Δημοκρατία είναι εγγυήτρια δύναμη. Χωρίς την υπογραφή της εγγυήτριας δύναμης δεν μπορεί έτσι κι αλλιώς να υπάρξει λύση». Παράλληλα, σημείωσε ότι «δεν υπήρξε ούτε ένας Τουρκοκύπριος ηγέτης που να έχει λάβει θέση στο Κυπριακό χωρίς διαβούλευση με την Τουρκική Δημοκρατία». Παρέμβαση για το δημογραφικό και τις αγορές ακινήτων Ο Τ/Κ ηγέτης αναφέρθηκε και στο ζήτημα της αύξησης ξένων υπηκόων και των αγορών ακινήτων, σημειώνοντας ότι πρόκειται για θέμα που, όπως είπε, απαιτεί διαχείριση και συνολική πολιτική. «Σε χώρες μικρές σε γεωγραφική έκταση και πληθυσμό, όπως η Τουρκική Δημοκρατία της Βόρειας Κύπρου, η ανεξέλεγκτη αύξηση ξένων και υπηκόων τρίτων χωρών αποτελεί πρόβλημα», ανέφερε.

The annual growth rate of a leading indicator in Cyprus used to predict the future direction of economic movements, saw a mild increase in November, but continued on a similar trend from the previous months, the University of Cyprus said in a report.
