Ξέσπασμα σαλμονέλας που συνδέεται με μια παρτίδα κολοκυθόσπορους μόλυνε 81 ανθρώπους οδηγώντας έξι από αυτούς στο νοσοκομείο σε πολλές γαλλικές περιοχές από τον Μάιο ως τον Αύγουστο, ανακοίνωσαν σήμερα τα υπουργεία Υγείας και Γεωργίας. Η έρευνα για τη δημόσια υγεία παραπέμπει σε κολοκυθόσπορους επεξεργασμένους από μια εταιρεία τροφίμων που βρίσκεται στη νοτιοδυτική Γαλλία και διαθέτει προϊόντα σε πολλά καταστήματα λιανικού εμπορίου, περιλαμβανομένης της αλυσίδας Grand Frais, αναφέρουν τα υπουργεία σε κοινή τους ανακοίνωση. Ο «Δούρειος Ίππος» του Ισραήλ – Οι επιπτώσεις για την Ευρώπη και ΝΑΤΟ από την «Αχιλλέα Ασπίδα» Ο Κλάους Γιούργκενς, διευθυντής του Economyfirst στο Λονδίνο, σε άρθρο του στου κρατικό πρακτορείο ειδήσεων της Τουρκίας, Αναντολού, υποστηρίζει ότι η συμφωνία Ελλάδας-Ισραήλ για την «Ασπίδα του Αχιλλέα» δεν αποτελεί απλώς μια αμυντική προμήθεια, αλλά μέρος μιας ευρύτερης ισραηλινής στρατηγικής που, κατά την άποψή του, μπορεί να ενισχύσει την αστάθεια στην περιοχή και να δημιουργήσει ρήγματα στο ΝΑΤΟ. Εστιάζει ιδιαίτερα στην επιλογή της Ελλάδας να προμηθευτεί ισραηλινά συστήματα αεράμυνας, στη σύνδεση της συμφωνίας με τη Φινλανδία και στη φερόμενη προσπάθεια του Ισραήλ να χρησιμοποιήσει τις αμυντικές εξαγωγές για να ενισχύσει την επιρροή του στην Ευρώπη. Παράλληλα, αμφισβητεί τα οικονομικά οφέλη για την Ελλάδα και αφήνει αιχμές ότι η συμφωνία μπορεί να αξιοποιηθεί για την καλλιέργεια αντιτουρκικού κλίματος. Στην ανάλυσή του ο Γιούργκενς χαρακτηρίζει την Ελλάδα χώρα που εμφανίζεται πλέον να τοποθετείται στην «πρώτη γραμμή» πιθανών συγκρούσεων, διερωτώμενος, γιατί η Αθήνα στρέφεται τώρα τόσο έντονα προς το Ισραήλ για την ενίσχυση της αεράμυνάς της. Το Ισραήλ ως «Δούρειος ίππος» Στο επίκεντρο της ανάλυσης βρίσκεται η εκτίμηση ότι η ισραηλινή αμυντική συνεργασία με την Ελλάδα εξυπηρετεί ευρύτερους γεωπολιτικούς στόχους του Τελ Αβίβ. Ο Γιούργκενς υποστηρίζει ότι η πώληση συστημάτων αεράμυνας σε ένα κράτος-μέλος του ΝΑΤΟ επιτρέπει στο Ισραήλ να εμφανίζεται ως παράγοντας ειρήνης και ασφάλειας, την ώρα που δέχεται διεθνή κριτική για τις επιχειρήσεις του στη Γάζα. Όπως υποστηρίζει ο αναλυτής: «Από την ισραηλινή πλευρά, η προσέλκυση της Ελλάδας στη δική του τροχιά αποτελεί μια εξαιρετικά καιροσκοπική στρατηγική κίνηση. Σε μια περίοδο κατά την οποία πολλοί παράγοντες, Ευρωπαίοι και μη, επιτέλους λένε την αλήθεια και χαρακτηρίζουν τις ενέργειες στην Παλαιστίνη “γενοκτονία”, η προμήθεια συστημάτων αεράμυνας σε ένα κράτος-μέλος του ΝΑΤΟ στην περιοχή αναμφίβολα αποσκοπεί στο να αποσπάσει την προσοχή από τη σφαγή δεκάδων χιλιάδων αθώων πολιτών». Ο Γιούργκενς χαρακτηρίζει τη συμφωνία μέρος μιας ισραηλινής στρατηγικής «διαίρει και βασίλευε», υποστηρίζοντας ότι το Ισραήλ επιδιώκει να πολώσει τη διεθνή κοινή γνώμη και να εμφανιστεί ως η «καλή πλευρά». «Εξαγωγή αστάθειας» στο ΝΑΤΟ Ο αναλυτής επεκτείνει την κριτική του πέρα από την Ελλάδα, συνδέοντας την «Ασπίδα του Αχιλλέα» με την προμήθεια του ίδιου ισραηλινού συστήματος από τη Φινλανδία, η οποία αναμένεται να το θέσει σε επιχειρησιακή χρήση έως το 2027. Με βάση αυτή τη σύνδεση, ο Γιούργκενς διερωτάται εάν πρόκειται για οργανωμένη στρατηγική και υποστηρίζει ότι το Ισραήλ επιχειρεί να διευρύνει την παρουσία του στο ΝΑΤΟ μέσω των αμυντικών του τεχνολογιών. Όπως αναφέρει: «Το Ισραήλ, εξάγοντας όλο και περισσότερο τεχνολογίες αεράμυνας σε χώρες-μέλη του ΝΑΤΟ, προσπαθεί να τοποθετήσει τον εαυτό του ως έναν ειρηνικό σύμμαχο και όχι ως έναν επιτιθέμενο». Κατά τον ίδιο, το Ισραήλ γνωρίζει ότι το ΝΑΤΟ βρίσκεται αντιμέτωπο με αλλαγές στη γεωπολιτική του ταυτότητα και αξιοποιεί αυτή την κατάσταση. «Όλο αυτό το σκηνικό ταιριάζει απόλυτα με αυτή την προσέγγιση, η οποία βασίζεται όχι μόνο στην εξαγωγή αμυντικών τεχνολογιών, αλλά και στην εξαγωγή αστάθειας», υποστηρίζει. Η αμερικανική έγκριση Ο Γιούργκενς επισημαίνει παράλληλα ότι η συμφωνία δεν εξαρτάται αποκλειστικά από την Αθήνα και το Τελ Αβίβ, καθώς για τη μεταφορά συγκεκριμένων τεχνολογιών απαιτείται και η έγκριση της Ουάσιγκτον. Όπως αναφέρει, οι ΗΠΑ έχουν λόγο στη μεταβίβαση δικαιωμάτων πνευματικής ιδιοκτησίας σε τρίτες χώρες και, ως εκ τούτου, η αμερικανική συναίνεση είναι απαραίτητη για την υλοποίηση της συμφωνίας. Το γεγονός αυτό οδηγεί τον αναλυτή στο ερώτημα: «Πώς μπορούν οι ΗΠΑ να επιτρέπουν στο Ισραήλ να μεταφέρει τεχνολογία σε άλλα μέλη του ΝΑΤΟ, γνωρίζοντας ότι το ισραηλινό καθεστώς δικάζεται στο Διεθνές Δικαστήριο της Χάγης για κατηγορίες περί γενοκτονίας;» Ο ίδιος καλεί τα υπόλοιπα κράτη-μέλη του ΝΑΤΟ να μην ακολουθήσουν τον δρόμο που, όπως υποστηρίζει, άνοιξαν η Φινλανδία και η Ελλάδα, υποστηρίζοντας ότι η χρηματοδότηση της ισραηλινής αμυντικής βιομηχανίας εν μέσω της δικαστικής διαδικασίας στη Χάγη είναι «ιδιαίτερα ακατάλληλη». Αμφισβητεί τα οικονομικά οφέλη Σημαντικό μέρος της ανάλυσης του Γιούργκενς αφορά και το οικονομικό σκέλος της συμφωνίας. Ο ίδιος απορρίπτει την εικόνα μιας αμοιβαία επωφελούς συνεργασίας, υποστηρίζοντας ότι το μεγαλύτερο μέρος της επένδυσης θα κατευθυνθεί στο Ισραήλ. Σύμφωνα με τον αναλυτή, από τα 3,1 δισ. ευρώ της συμφωνίας μόλις το 25% θα επιστρέψει στην ελληνική οικονομία μέσω της συμμετοχής ελληνικών εταιρειών στην παραγωγική διαδικασία. Παράλληλα, θέτει το ερώτημα εάν η Ελλάδα θα ήταν προτιμότερο να επικεντρωθεί στη δημιουργία νέων θέσεων εργασίας στο εσωτερικό, αντί να ενισχύει την ανησυχία της για υποθετικές απειλές. Αιχμές για την Τουρκία Ο Γιούργκενς φτάνει, τέλος, να εξετάζει το ενδεχόμενο η ισραηλινή τεχνολογική συνεργασία με την Ελλάδα να έχει και αντιτουρκική διάσταση. Θέτει ευθέως το ερώτημα εάν το Ισραήλ μπορεί να επιδιώκει να επηρεάσει την ελληνική κοινή γνώμη εναντίον της Τουρκίας μέσω των αμυντικών εξαγωγών του. Όπως υποστηρίζει: «Τέλος, υπάρχει το ενδεχόμενο το Ισραήλ, εξάγοντας τεχνολογία στην Ελλάδα, να επιδιώκει κακόβουλα να υποκινήσει την ελληνική κοινή γνώμη εναντίον της Τουρκίας; Ένα πράγμα είναι βέβαιο: το Ισραήλ ανησυχεί σοβαρά για την Τουρκία, η οποία χαίρει σεβασμού σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο και γίνεται ένας ολοένα και πιο αποτελεσματικός και δημοκρατικός περιφερειακός παράγοντας». Καταλήγοντας, ο αναλυτής χαρακτηρίζει την ισραηλινή τεχνολογική εξαγωγική πολιτική πιθανό «Δούρειο Ίππο» για τη διαίρεση της Ευρώπης και καλεί την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση, την Ευρώπη και το ΝΑΤΟ να μην επιτρέψουν ένα τέτοιο σενάριο. «Το να υπάρχουν θεμιτές ανησυχίες για την παγκόσμια ειρήνη και σταθερότητα είναι άλλο πράγμα, ενώ η χρησιμοποίηση των εξαγωγών ισραηλινής τεχνολογίας ως “Δούρειου Ίππου” για τη διαίρεση της Ευρώπης είναι εντελώς διαφορετικό. Η ΕΕ, η Ευρώπη στο σύνολό της και το ΝΑΤΟ δεν πρέπει σε καμία περίπτωση να επιτρέψουν την υλοποίηση ενός τέτοιου σεναρίου». Economic sentiment in Cyprus improved for the fourth consecutive month in July, on improved business confidence in the services and retail trade sectors, according to the benchmark index compiled by the Economics Research Centre of the University of Cyprus. Real GDP growth in Cyprus is expected to slow from 3.8% in 2025 to 2.7% this year and to strengthen to 3.1% next year, according to the latest quarterly outlook by the University of Cyprus.
