Άρχισε τη Δευτέρα στην Κοινοβουλευτική Επιτροπή Οικονομικών η συζήτηση νομοσχεδίων για την αξιολόγηση υποψηφίων για διορισμό στη δημόσια υπηρεσία με βουλευτές να εκφράζουν την ανάγκη εκσυγχρονισμού του συστήματος προσλήψεων αλλά και να θέτουν και την αντίθεση τους σε πρόνοιες των νομοσχεδίων. Τα νομοσχέδια, που εξετάστηκαν από την Επιτροπή επί της αρχής και επί των οποίων θα συνεχιστεί την ερχόμενη Δευτέρα η κατ’ άρθρο συζήτηση, αφορούν τον περί Αξιολόγησης Υποψηφίων για Διορισμό στη Δημόσια Υπηρεσία Νόμο του 2026 ο οποίος τροποποιεί τη διαδικασία πλήρωσης θέσεων εισδοχής στη δημόσια υπηρεσία, ώστε να καταστεί πιο ορθολογική και αποτελεσματική, τον περί Δημόσιας Υπηρεσίας (Τροποποιητικό) Νόμο του 2026 που αφορά την εισαγωγή ρυθμίσεων για την επίσπευση της διαδικασίας πλήρωσης των θέσεων Πρώτου Διορισμού στη δημόσια υπηρεσία και τον περί Αξιολόγησης Υποψηφίων για Διορισμό στη Δημόσια Υπηρεσία (Προσωρινές Διατάξεις) Νόμο του 2026 που αφορά την εισαγωγή προσωρινών διατάξεων για τη μη διεξαγωγή γενικής γραπτής εξέτασης το τελευταίο εξάμηνο του έτους 2026 για θέσεις εισδοχής στη δημόσια υπηρεσία. Αναφορικά με το πρώτο νομοσχέδιο για πρόσληψη στο δημόσιο, που αποτελεί το βασικό νομοσχέδιο, η Διευθύντρια του Τμήματος Δημόσιας Διοίκησης και Προσωπικού του Υπουργείου Οικονομικών Έλενα Οικονομίδου – Αζίνα είπε ότι βασικές αλλαγές που προωθούνται είναι ότι οι γενικές γραπτές εξετάσεις για τις θέσεις εισδοχής στην δημόσια υπηρεσία διεξάγονται μετά την προκήρυξη των κενών θέσεων και όχι προηγουμένους. «Με τον τρόπο αυτό η όλη διαδικασία και η εκδήλωση ενδιαφέροντος των υποψηφίων είναι πιο στοχευμένη και ευθυγραμμισμένη με τις ανάγκες στελέχωσης των υπηρεσιών», ανέφερε και πρόσθεσε ότι η λήψη απόφασης για τα εξεταζόμενα θέματα στηρίζεται στην ανάγκη ιδιαιτερότητας των θέσεων και οι πολίτες γνωρίζουν αν υπάρχουν κενές θέσεις για τις οποίες έχουν τα προσόντα ώστε να αποφασίσουν αν θα παρακαθίσουν στις εξετάσεις. Είπε ακόμη ότι δεύτερη αλλαγή αφορά το ότι οι κενές θέσεις εισδοχής στη δημόσια υπηρεσία δημοσιεύονται όλες κατά το πρώτο δίμηνο αντί το πρώτο τετράμηνο κάθε έτους που ισχύει σήμερα με στόχο επίσπευση της διαδικασίας πλήρωσης των θέσεων. Ως προς τη σειρά προτίμησης των υποψηφίων μετά την υποβολή των αιτήσεων κατά το πρώτο δίμηνο κάθε χρόνου, είπε ότι η ΕΔΥ θα ζητά από τους υποψήφιους να δηλώσουν την σειρά προτίμηση τους για τις διάφορες θέσεις για τις οποίες έχουν υποβάλει αίτηση ούτως ώστε υποψήφιος που θα διοριστεί στην πρώτη προτεραιότητα του να διαγράφεται από τις άλλες θέσεις. «Με αυτό τον τρόπο θα σταματήσουμε την κινητικότητα των υποψηφίων σε κάθε θέση που δημιουργεί προβλήματα στην στελέχωση», πρόσθεσε. Ανέφερε επίσης ότι διαγράφονται ρυθμίσεις για κατάθεση κάθε χρόνο στη Βουλή για έγκριση των καταλόγων θέσεων για τις οποίες προβλέπεται η διεξαγωγή γενικής γραπτής εξέτασης ή ειδικής εξέτασης. Απαντώντας σε ερώτηση της βουλευτή του ΔΗΣΥ Σάβιας Ορφανίδου γιατί γίνεται αυτό, η κ. Αζίνα είπε ότι «είναι μια αχρείαστη γραφειοκρατία» και πρόσθεσε ότι η Βουλή καλείται να εγκρίνει ή να απορρίψει τους καταλόγους και δεν μπορεί να τους τροποποιήσει». «Θεωρούμε ότι η εκτελεστική εξουσία έχει την γνώση και των υπηρεσιακών αναγκών και των δεδομένων της κάθε υπηρεσίας να κρίνει πως πρέπει να πληρώνονται οι θέσεις (διοικητικής φύσης έργο, αντί νομοθετικής)», πρόσθεσε. Επιπλέον, ανέφερε ότι το νομοσχέδιο ρυθμίζει ότι για τις θέσεις για τις οποίες δικαιολογείται η διεξαγωγή ειδικής γραπτής εξέτασης από την οικεία Συμβουλευτική Επιτροπή για τεκμηριωμένους λόγους που αφορούν σε ιδιαιτερότητες και δυσκολίες πλήρωσης τους, θα καθορίζονται με διάταγμα του Υπουργικού Συμβουλίου που θα εκδίδεται εντός του Δεκεμβρίου του έτους που προηγείται της προκήρυξης των θέσεων. Είπε ακόμη ότι με το νομοσχέδιο δίνεται η αρμοδιότητα στην Επιτροπή Δημόσιας Υπηρεσίας (ΕΔΥ) για τη διενέργεια γραπτής κυβερνητικής εξέτασης, αντί στην Ειδική Επιτροπή που είναι σήμερα αρμόδια για την διεξαγωγή γενικής γραπτής εξέτασης και η οποία καταργείται και πρόσθεσε ότι η Ειδική Επιτροπή αποτελείται σήμερα από τον Πρόεδρο της ΕΔΥ, την Διευθύντρια του Τμήματος Προσωπικού και την Υπηρεσία εξετάσεων. Ανέφερε ότι η ΕΔΥ θα αποφασίσει και το είδος και την διοργάνωση των εξετάσεων και πρόσθεσε ότι σήμερα η Ειδική Επιτροπή αποφασίζει για το είδος των εξετάσεων (αναλυτικές ή εξιδικευμένες). Με αυτό, συνέχισε, θα μειωθεί και η ανάγκη για έκδοση διατάγματος από το Υπουργικό Συμβούλιο για να εξαιρούνται θέσεις για να γίνονται ειδικές εξετάσεις. Ανέφερε ότι τον Δεκέμβριο κάθε χρόνου, πριν να δημοσιευθούν οι θέσεις, το Υπουργικό Συμβούλιο θα έχει το δικαίωμα να κρίνει ότι κάποιες θέσεις δεν θα προωθηθούν στην ΕΔΥ για να διοργανώσει η ίδια τις γενικές εξετάσεις, να τις εξαιρέσει για ειδικούς λόγους για να γίνουν ειδικές εξετάσεις – όπως και σήμερα γίνεται μέσω των καταλόγων. Η κ. Αζίνα είπε ακόμη ότι αυξάνονται οι μονάδες μοριοδότησης του κριτηρίου αξιολόγησης του οικείου προϊσταμένου τμήματος στις 15 μονάδες, από 5 που είναι σήμερα, ενώ σημείωσε πως ενδεχομένως να γίνει μια τροποποίηση για να μειωθούν στις 10 οι μονάδες μετά από εισήγηση της ΕΔΥ. Εξάλλου, εκπρόσωπος του ΥΠΟΙΚ ανέφερε ότι θα υπάρχει πληροφόρηση με ποια διαδικασία θα πληρωθούν οι θέσεις δηλαδή κατά πόσον θα υπόκεινται στην γενική γραπτή εξέταση που θα διεξάγει η ΕΔΥ ή σε ειδικό γραπτό διαγωνισμό που θα κάνει η αρμόδια συμβουλευτική επιτροπή στην Υπηρεσία στην οποία ανήκει η θέση. Ο Πρόεδρος της ΕΔΥ Γεώργιος Παπαγεωργίου κάλεσε τους βουλευτές να βοηθήσουν ώστε να υπάρξει ένα νομοσχέδιο λειτουργικό, αποτελεσματικό και να επιτυγχάνει τους στόχους τους οποίους έχουν τεθεί και πρόσθεσε ότι οι στόχοι και η φιλοσοφία του νομοσχεδίου βρίσκει την ΕΔΥ απόλυτα σύμφωνη. Ανέφερε ότι το υφιστάμενο νομικό πλαίσιο βοήθησε για δεκαετίες να εμπεδωθεί στον κόσμο η αίσθηση ότι οι επιλογές γίνονται με αντικειμενικά κριτήρια, παρά τις αδυναμίες που έχει, ενώ οι προσφυγές έχουν σχεδόν μηδενιστεί (μόλις μία τα τελευταία χρόνια). Αναφορικά με το βασικό νομοσχέδιο, ο κ. Παπαγεωργίου είπε ότι έχει εντοπίσει κάποιας τεχνικής και λειτουργικής φύσης αδυναμίες και πρόσθεσε πως οι εισηγήσεις της ΕΔΥ έχουν υιοθετηθεί από το Υπουργείο και θα προωθηθεί ενώπιον της Επιτροπής. Ανέφερε ότι τα ερωτήματα είναι μεταξύ άλλων σε ποιο στάδιο δηλώνεται η προτίμηση του υποψηφίου για τις θέσεις που έχει υποβάλει αίτηση και ποιο είναι το χρονικό σημείο εφαρμογής αυτής της προτίμησης. Επιπλέον, ο κ. Παπαγεωργίου έθεσε το ερώτημα ποιος θα κάνει τις εξετάσεις και πρόσθεσε ότι αυτή την στιγμή «η μοναδική υπηρεσία που ενδιαφέρεται να κάνει τις εξετάσεις είναι το Υπουργείο Παιδείας». Εκπρόσωπος της Νομικής Υπηρεσίας είπε ότι δεν προκύπτουν ζητήματα συνταγματικότητας ή άλλα νομικά ζητήματα από τα νομοσχέδια. «Οι προωθούμενες αλλαγές μπορούν να υποστηριχθούν και να προχωρήσουν», πρόσθεσε. Ο Προέδρος της ΕΔΥ είπε σε σχέση με αναφορές για υποκειμενισμό ότι η ΕΔΥ με διάφορες ενέργειες περιόρισε τον υποκειμενισμό. Συμβάλαμε σε αυτή την προσπάθεια, τοποθετώντας κάτω κριτήρια, ανέφερε και πρόσθεσε ότι έχει περιοριστεί και ο αριθμός των προσφυγών. Ο ΓΓ της ΠΑΣΥΔΥ Στράτης Ματθαίος είπε ότι το υφιστάμενο σύστημα εξετάσεων εκ των αποτελεσμάτων έχει αποτύχει και πρόσθεσε ότι χρειάζονται δύο χρόνια για πλήρωση θέσεων. Είπε ακόμη ότι το νομοσχέδιο περιλαμβάνει θέσεις και εισηγήσεις της ΠΑΣΥΔΥ. Ο Πρόεδρος του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου της Παγκύπριας Συντεχνίας ΙΣΟΤΗΤΑ Πρόδρομος Χριστοφή είπε ότι δεν έγινε οποιαδήποτε διαβούλευση επί του νομοσχεδίου και «δεν μας κάλεσαν». Ανέφερε ότι η συντεχνία δεν ενημερώθηκε για το νομοσχέδιο και «σήμερα το μαθαίνουμε και πρέπει μέσα σε πέντε ημέρες να τοποθετηθούμε». Απαντώντας η εκπρόσωπος του ΥΠΟΙΚ είπε ότι τα νομοσχέδια αφορούν θέσεις πρώτου διορισμού και δεν επηρεάζουν τους υφιστάμενους υπαλλήλους, ενώ ο κ. Χριστοφή είπε ότι η συντεχνία έχει μέλη εργοδοτουμένους αορίστου χρόνου που μπορούν να διεκδικήσουν θέσεις εισδοχής. Ο κ. Χριστοφή είπε ακόμη ότι η ΙΣΟΤΗΤΑ διαφωνεί με την αύξηση των μονάδων αξιολόγησης του προϊστάμενου ενός υποψήφιου για διατμηματική προαγωγή, ενώ εισηγήθηκε μεταξύ άλλων η πείρα να είναι από 0–15 μονάδες, η αξιολόγηση Προϊσταμένου 0–5, με αμετάβλητο το σύνολο των 150 σε κάθε περίπτωση και πείρα όχι κατώτερη της αξιολόγησης του Προϊσταμένου. Μιλώντας στη συνεδρία, η Πρόεδρος της Επιτροπής, βουλευτής ΔΗΚΟ, Χριστιάνα Ερωτοκρίτου είπε ότι «παρά το γεγονός ότι το συζητούμε όλοι ως το νομοσχέδιο που θα αλλάξει τις κυβερνητικές εξετάσεις και τον τρόπο πρόσληψης στο δημόσιο», αξιολογεί το νομοσχέδιο ως «την πιο ουσιαστική προσπάθεια που έγινε μέχρι σήμερα για να μεταρρυθμιστεί ουσιαστικά η αυριανή δημόσια υπηρεσία για να μπορεί να δουλεύει καλύτερα για τον πολίτη και για τις ανάγκες αυτού του κράτους». Ο βουλευτής της Άμεσης Δημοκρατίας Γιάννης Λαούρης είπε ότι «είναι κριτήρια μας η απλοποίηση, διαφάνεια και ταχύτητα» και πρόσθεσε ότι θα εξετάσουν οποιαδήποτε προσπάθεια εισαγωγής υποκειμενικότητας». «Και εμείς έχουμε παρόμοια θέση για την αυξημένη βαρύτητα του προϊστάμενου γιατί και αυτό είναι ένα είδος υποκειμενικότητας», πρόσθεσε. Εξάλλου, σε δηλώσεις μετά τη συνεδρία, ο Κοινοβουλευτικός Εκπρόσωπος του ΔΗΣΥ Δημήτρης Δημητρίου είπε ότι επί της αρχής, «ως ΔΗΣΥ αντικρίζουμε θετικά την πρόθεση εκσυγχρονισμού του συστήματος διορισμών». «Το να έχει ο υποψήφιος τη δυνατότητα να βάλει σε μία προτεραιοποίηση τις επιλογές του, ούτως ώστε να αντιμετωπιστεί το φαινόμενο της κινητικότητας τον πρώτο χρόνο τουλάχιστον των νέων δημόσιων λειτουργών είναι θετικό», πρόσθεσε. Ανέφερε ότι από κει και πέρα, για διάφορα ζητήματα θα πρέπει να δοθούν απαντήσεις και «να τα αντικρίσουμε με τον σωστό φακό». «Δεν μπορεί για παράδειγμα οι κατάλογοι θέσεων να μην κατατίθενται στο Κοινοβούλιο και να πάρουν την έγκριση της Βουλής» και δεν μπορεί για την κατάσταση των εξαιρέσεων να μην μπουν κάποια όρια και ένας περιορισμός. Είπε ακόμη ότι «δεν μπορεί να μην υπάρχει χρονοδιάγραμμα των εξειδικευμένων θέσεων για το πότε θα γίνουν οι εξετάσεις, σε πόσο χρονικό διάστημα, και ποια θα είναι η ύλη της εξέτασης, ούτως ώστε να γνωρίζουν οι πολίτες, στα πλαίσια της ισονομίας και της ισοπολιτείας, πότε και με ποια ύλη θα εξεταστούν». «Μας προκαλεί πολλά ερωτηματικά η πρόθεση τριπλασιασμού, από 5 σε 15 μονάδες, της βαθμολογίας των τμηματαρχών για πρώτο διορισμό», ανέφερε και πρόσθεσε πως αυτό δεν μπορεί να είναι μέχρι τέλους στο νομοσχέδιο. Ο κ. Δημητρίου είπε ότι τέθηκαν και διάφορα ζητήματα που αφορούν μεταβατικές διατάξεις και πότε θα τεθεί σε ισχύ ο νόμος, ενώ «χρειάζεται και ένα μηχανογραφικό για αυτό ακριβώς το σύστημα της προτεραιοποίησης». «Έχουμε αρκετές παρατηρήσεις και εισηγήσεις που θα τεθούν στην κατ’ άρθρο συζήτηση», πρόσθεσε. Ο βουλευτής του ΑΚΕΛ Άριστος Δαμιανού είπε ότι «παρά τις προσπάθειες που καταβλήθηκαν με προηγούμενες αλλαγές συνεχίζουν να υπάρχουν στρεβλώσεις, να καταγράφονται αδικίες και δυσλειτουργίες». «Η ανάγκη για εξορθολογισμό και εκσυγχρονισμό του συστήματος είναι δεδομένη», πρόσθεσε. Ανέφερε ότι το ΑΚΕΛ έχει συγκεκριμένες προτάσεις για αυτά τα ζητήματα που θα κατατεθούν τις επόμενες εβδομάδες. Ο κ. Δαμιανού είπε ότι «σήμερα υπογραμμίσαμε κάποια πράγματα που θα πρέπει να είναι προϋποθέσεις για την οποιαδήποτε υπερψήφιση των προτάσεων». Ανέφερε ότι «το πρώτο είναι να αντιμετωπιστεί προσπάθεια αύξησης του υποκειμενισμού, δηλαδή των ρόλων των προϊσταμένων στη διαδικασία αξιολόγησης» και πρόσθεσε ότι «πρέπει να υπάρχει και να φαίνεται δίκαιη μεταχείριση και στο μέτρο του εφικτού εξάλειψη του υποκειμενισμού». Είπε ακόμη ότι το δεύτερο είναι «να διασφαλίζεται μεν η λειτουργικότητα των νομοθεσιών, αλλά να μην αφαιρούνται δικαιώματα από τους πολίτες». «Πόσο δε μάλλον να δημιουργούνται συνθήκες αδιαφάνειας στην όλη διαδικασία αξιολόγησης», πρόσθεσε. Ανέφερε επίσης ότι το τρίτο είναι «να διατηρηθεί ως έχει ο ρόλος του Κοινοβουλίου, διότι ο αυξημένος ρόλος του Υπουργικού Συμβουλίου, σε συνδυασμό με την απόπειρα της Κυβέρνησης να αφαιρέσει τη δυνατότητα επέμβασης της Βουλής των Αντιπροσώπων, αφαιρεί σημαντικά θεσμικά αντίβαρα, κάτι για το οποίο ασφαλώς τόσο το ΑΚΕΛ όσο και άλλες δυνάμεις δεν συμφωνούμε και δεν πρόκειται να γίνει αποδεκτό». Ο κ. Δαμιανού είπε ότι τις επόμενες εβδομάδες θα γίνει εξειδικευμένη συζήτηση και «θα καταθέσουμε συγκεκριμένες απόψεις για μία σειρά από ζητήματα». Ο βουλευτής του ΕΛΑΜ Μάριος Πελεκάνος είπε ότι έγινε συζήτηση επί της αρχής για τα νομοσχέδια που αφορούν την μεταρρύθμιση του συστήματος προσλήψεων στη δημόσια υπηρεσία και σε επόμενη συνεδρία θα προχωρήσουν στην κατ’ άρθρον συζήτηση. «Από την πρώτη συζήτηση που έχει γίνει φαίνεται ότι μέσα από τα νομοσχέδια που έχουν κατατεθεί επιδιώκεται να αλλάξει το σύστημα με τέτοιον τρόπο, έτσι ώστε να ενισχυθεί αφενός η αξιοκρατία και αφετέρου να εφαρμοστούν εκσυγχρονισμένες διαδικασίες που θα διασφαλίζουν ότι στο δημόσιο θα προσλαμβάνονται πρόσωπα τα οποία κατέχουν και τις γνώσεις αλλά και τα κατάλληλα ποιοτικά χαρακτηριστικά» είπε. Ανέφερε ότι περισσότερα θα μπορούν να λεχθούν στην κατ’ άρθρον συζήτηση, όπου «θα τοποθετηθούμε πολύ πιο συγκεκριμένα». Ο Πρόεδρος του Άλματος Πολίτης για την Κύπρο Οδυσσέας Μιχαηλίδης είπε ότι για το σύστημα εισδοχής στη δημόσια υπηρεσία, ότι «δυστυχώς πίσω από την ανάγκη απλοποίησης κάποιων διαδικασιών, οι οποίες όντως φαίνεται να ταλαιπωρούν τους πολίτες όταν διεκδικούν θέση, η Κυβέρνηση επιδιώκει να αυξήσει το περιθώριο για ρουσφέτι». «Η θέση μας είναι ότι οι διαδικασίες θα πρέπει να μείνουν τέτοιες ώστε κατά το δυνατόν να διασφαλίζεται η αξιοκρατία και αυτή θα είναι η θέση μας όταν θα γίνει η κατ’ άρθρον συζήτηση των σχετικών νομοσχεδίων», κατέληξε. Στη μεγάλη προσπάθεια που καταβάλλει η Κυβέρνηση για να αλλάξει τη χώρα, αλλά και στην πολύ σημαντική εβδομάδα επαφών του Προέδρου της Δημοκρατίας, αναφέρθηκε ο ίδιος ο Πρόεδρος κ. Νίκος Χριστοδουλίδης σε δηλώσεις του απόψε στους δημοσιογράφους. Στις δηλώσεις του, προσερχόμενος σε συνάντηση με την Παγκύπρια Οργάνωση Σιτηροπαραγωγών, στην Αραδίππου, και σε παρατήρηση δημοσιογράφου ότι αυτή είναι μια πολύ σημαντική βδομάδα, αφού μεταβαίνει αύριο στο Ελ Αλαμέιν, την Τετάρτη θα έχει συνάντηση με τον Τουρκοκύπριο ηγέτη και την Πέμπτη με τον Πρόεδρο του Ισραήλ, ο Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας είπε ότι «είναι μια πολύ σημαντική επίσκεψη αύριο στην Αίγυπτο, θα υπάρξει και διμερής συνάντηση αλλά και τριμερής συνάντηση στην παρουσία και του Έλληνα Πρωθυπουργού. Ακολουθεί η συνάντηση με τον Τουρκοκύπριο ηγέτη που ευελπιστώ θα γίνουν και αρκετές άλλες πριν τη Νέα Υόρκη, είμαι πανέτοιμος αν χρειάζεται να συναντιόμαστε και κάθε μέρα μέχρι να πάμε στη Νέα Υόρκη. Υπάρχει και επίσκεψη από τον Πρόεδρο του Ισραήλ. Υπάρχει αρκετή κινητικότητα σε σχέση και με τις εξελίξεις στην περιοχή. Με την Αίγυπτο είναι προγραμματισμένη και τριμερής συνάντηση των Υπουργών Άμυνας πολύ σύντομα, ακολούθως και των Υπουργών Εξωτερικών, ακολούθως θα φιλοξενήσουμε στην Κύπρο την επίσημη τριμερή συνάντηση. Και θεωρώ όλα αυτά (σημαντικά), όπως και αυτά που γίνονται στο εσωτερικό – είχαμε πολύ σημαντικές ανακοινώσεις χθες σε σχέση με το επίδομα τέκνου, αυτή τη μεγάλη προσπάθεια που κάνουμε που ξεκίνησε με τη φορολογική μεταρρύθμιση, τώρα με τη συνταξιοδοτική και πολλά άλλα- για να ενισχύσουμε το διαθέσιμο εισόδημα των πολιτών, όλες μας οι κινήσεις αποσκοπούν στο να ενισχύσουμε τους παράγοντες ισχύος της χώρας μας, εσωτερικούς και εξωτερικούς, κάτι το οποίο βοηθά στη μεγάλη προσπάθεια για επίλυση του Κυπριακού. Και μια και λέμε για παράγοντες ισχύος, για ασφάλεια, είμαστε εδώ (στο ΣΙΛΟ), να συζητήσουμε, είναι ένα θέμα που άπτεται της ασφάλειας της χώρας μας, και μέσα από τον διάλογο που θα γίνει, είμαστε πάντα δίπλα στους παραγωγούς μας, ήταν μια καλή χρονιά χωρίς να παραβλέπω τα προβλήματα με τον αφθώδη πυρετό. Έχουμε ένα θέμα σε σχέση με περισσότερες ποσότητες που υπάρχουν. Ανέφερα προηγουμένως δύο χώρες, την Αίγυπτο και το Ισραήλ, να πω ότι είναι δύο χώρες με τις οποίες μπορούμε να εξετάσουμε αν μπορούμε να εξάγουμε αφού υπάρχουν διαθέσιμα αποθέματα και όλα αυτά στη μεγάλη μας προσπάθεια να αλλάξουμε τη χώρα μας». Κληθείς να σχολιάσει την απόφαση της Βουλής να αποδεσμεύσει το κονδύλι που αφορά το όχημα που μεταφέρει τον Πρόεδρο της Δημοκρατίας, ο Πρόεδρος Χριστοδουλίδης απάντησε «κανένα σχόλιο για το θέμα του οχήματος».

DBRS Ratings GmbH (Morningstar DBRS) has changed the trend on both the Republic of Cyprus’ long-term and short-term foreign and local currency issuer ratings to ‘positive’ from ‘stable’ on the view that Cyprus will maintain its strong fiscal position and continue reducing its public debt burden. Morningstar DBRS also confirmed the long-term credit ratings at “A” and the short-term ratings at R-1 (low). The rating agency said favourable economic growth prospects and sizable structural fiscal surpluses help reduce the general government debt-to-GDP ratio from an expected 49.9% this year to below 40% by 2029. Economic sentiment in Cyprus improved for the fourth consecutive month in July, on improved business confidence in the services and retail trade sectors, according to the benchmark index compiled by the Economics Research Centre of the University of Cyprus. The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI-CypERC) increased by 0.7 points to 101.5 compared with June, but remained far below the monthly index throughout the past 12 months.
