Ένοχοι για τη δολοφονία της δίχρονης Ιζαμπέλ, η οποία είχε πέσει θύμα σεξουαλικής κακοποίησης πριν δεχθεί ένα θανατηφόρο χτύπημα στο κεφάλι τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2025 κρίθηκαν από δικαστήριο στη Βρετανία η 26χρονη μητέρα της, Αλεξάντρα Γουόκερ, και ο 22χρονος σύντροφός της, Χάρισον Σίμπσον. Το ζευγάρι αντιμετώπιζε κατηγορίες για ανθρωποκτονία, πρόκληση ή ανοχή στον θάνατο παιδιού, σεξουαλική επίθεση και κακοποίηση ανηλίκου. Ο Σίμπσον καταδικάστηκε επιπλέον για τη σεξουαλική επίθεση στη δίχρονη, ενώ η Γουόκερ αθωώθηκε για τη συγκεκριμένη κατηγορία. Ο εφιάλτης για το μικρό κορίτσι Ο εφιάλτης που έζησε η 2χρονη Ιζαμπέλ στα χέρια της μητέρας της και του συντρόφου της αποκαλύφθηκε στις 13 Σεπτεμβρίου του 2025 όταν διασώστες τη βρήκαν στη βάση της σκάλας του σπιτιού της, χωρίς σφυγμό και σε εξαιρετικά κρίσιμη κατάσταση Όπως κατατέθηκε στο δικαστήριο, ενώ η Ιζαμπέλ αργοπέθαινε, η μητέρα της καθυστέρησε να καλέσει τις αρχές παρότι προηγουμένως είχε ψάξει στο διαδίκτυο τη φράση «γιατί να αιμορραγεί το μικρό μου παιδί», ενώ παράλληλα κάπνιζε ένα τσιγάρο στην κουζίνα. Μόνο αφού τηλεφώνησε στον πατριό της για να έρθει στο σπίτι και αφού εκείνος την παρότρυνε, αποφάσισε η 26χρονη να καλέσει ασθενοφόρο. Οι διασώστες διαπίστωσαν ότι το κοριτσάκι έφερε μώλωπες σε όλο του το σώμα, τραύματα υπήρχαν στο κεφάλι, τον λαιμό, την κοιλιά, την πλάτη και τα γεννητικά όργανα, ενώ στην πάνα της υπήρχε αίμα. Η Ιζαμπέλ μεταφέρθηκε στο νοσοκομείο, όπου κατέληξε την επόμενη ημέρα με τη νεκροψία να αποκαλύπτει ότι το παιδί είχε υποστεί 21 κατάγματα τις εβδομάδες που προηγήθηκαν του θανάτου του. Ειδικοί κατέθεσαν στο δικαστήριο ότι η Ιζαμπέλ είχε δεχθεί βίαιο ταρακούνημα και ότι το κεφάλι της είχε χτυπήσει με δύναμη είτε σε τοίχο είτε στο πάτωμα. «Για εβδομάδες αυτό το παιδί δεχόταν βίαιες επιθέσεις και ο θάνατός του, από εκείνον τον φρικτό τραυματισμό στο κεφάλι, ήταν απλώς η κατάληξη αυτής της εκστρατείας βίας στην οποία είχε υποβληθεί» είπε ο εισαγγελέας Ρίτσαρντ Ράιτ. Στο δικαστήριο περιγράφηκε ότι κατά τη διάρκεια της σύντομης σχέσης της με τον Σίμπσον, η Γουόκερ είχε εκφράσει ανησυχίες ότι εκείνος ίσως ήταν παιδόφιλος, ενώ θεωρούσε «περίεργο» το γεγονός ότι προτιμούσε να τη συναντά μαζί με την Ιζαμπέλ αντί να μένει μόνος με τη σύντροφό του. Ωστόσο, δεν διέκοψε τη σχέση τους, παρότι ήταν αρκετά καχύποπτη ώστε να ελέγξει αν το όνομά του βρισκόταν στο μητρώο δραστών σεξουαλικών εγκλημάτων. «Μοιάζει σαν να κακοποιείται» Μόλις 11 ημέρες πριν από το μοιραίο χτύπημα, η Ιζαμπέλ είχε μεταφερθεί στον οικογενειακό γιατρό και στη συνέχεια στο νοσοκομείο με σπασμένο πόδι. Συγκεκριμένα, γύρω στις 3.15 χθες το απόγευμα, ενώ ο 63χρονος κινείτο με ποδήλατο στην οδό Αγίας Μαρίνας, στον Στρόβολο, στη συμβολή με τη λεωφόρο Στροβόλου, κάτω από συνθήκες που διερευνώνται, συγκρούστηκε με αυτοκίνητο που οδηγούσε γυναίκα ηλικίας 40 ετών. Τη σκηνή επισκέφθηκαν για εξετάσεις μέλη της Αστυνομίας, ενώ πλήρωμα ασθενοφόρου μετέφερε τον 63χρονο στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Λευκωσίας, όπου επί καθήκοντι ιατρός διαπίστωσε τον θάνατο του.
