Εργαζόμαστε για μια λύση βιώσιμη, λειτουργική, που να διασφαλίζει σε όλους τους νόμιμους κατοίκους της χώρας το δικαίωμα να ζουν, να εργάζονται, να δραστηριοποιούνται και να δημιουργούν, όπου το επιλέξουν, σε συνθήκες ειρήνης, ασφάλειας και ευημερίας, δήλωσε ο Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας, Νίκος Χριστοδουλίδης στον χαιρετισμό του στην αντικατοχική εκδήλωση των Δήμων, Κοινοτήτων, προσφυγικών Σωματείων και οργανώσεων Κερύνειας, η οποία πραγματοποιήθηκε στον Τύμβο Μακεδονίτισσας. Έστειλε δε το μήνυμα προς την τουρκική κυβέρνηση, προς τον Τουρκοκύπριο ηγέτη και προς όλους τους ενδιαφερόμενους εντός και εκτός Κύπρου, ότι, «αν υπάρχει πολιτική βούληση μπορούμε να πετύχουμε μια διευθέτηση του Κυπριακού που θα λειτουργεί ευεργετικά για όλα τα ενδιαφερόμενα μέρη». Η Κερύνεια, είπε ο Πρόεδρος στην ομιλία του, «πλήρωσε και εξακολουθεί να πληρώνει βαρύτατο τίμημα από την παράνομη τουρκική εισβολή και τη συνεχιζόμενη για 52 χρόνια κατοχή», καθώς, όπως είπε, είναι η πόλη και επαρχία «που καταλήφθηκε από τον βάρβαρο Αττίλα στο σύνολο της επικράτειάς της, έχοντας τεράστιες ανθρώπινες απώλειες, τόσο σε στρατεύσιμους όσο και σε άμαχους». «Σαν σήμερα, πριν από 52 χρόνια, ο τουρκικός στρατός μπήκε στην πόλη της Κερύνειας, την κατέλαβε και έδιωξε με τη βία όλους τους Έλληνες γηγενείς κατοίκους της, είπε. Πέραν της παράνομης κατοχής του ενός τρίτου της επικράτειας της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας, ενός ανεξάρτητου Κράτους-Μέλους της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης και των Ηνωμένων Εθνών, είπε, η Τουρκία «συνεχίζει να διαπράττει ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα εγκλήματα στη μεταπολεμική Ιστορία της Ευρώπης και για πέντε και πλέον δεκαετίες παραβιάζει συστηματικά το Διεθνές Δίκαιο και τα θεμελιώδη δικαιώματα των νόμιμων κατοίκων της Κύπρου, αποστερώντας τους βασικές ελευθερίες». Εδώ και μισό αιώνα, πρόσθεσε, «η Τουρκία καταβάλλει ανεπιτυχώς προσπάθειες για τη νομιμοποίηση των τετελεσμένων και για διαγραφή των εγκλημάτων που διέπραξε, αλλά οι παρανομίες της συγκρούονται μετωπικά με το Διεθνές και το Ευρωπαϊκό Δίκαιο». Σημείωσε ότι η Κερυνειώτισσα Τιτίνα Λοϊζίδου ήταν η πρώτη που το 1996 εξέθεσε την Τουρκία και την κατέστησε υπόλογη για αποστέρηση της περιουσίας της, και ότι η δικαίωση αυτή από το Ευρωπαϊκό Δικαστήριο Ανθρωπίνων Δικαιωμάτων, άνοιξε τον δρόμο και σε πολλούς άλλους Κύπριους πολίτες, θύματα της τουρκικής εισβολής για διεκδίκηση των δικαιωμάτων τους. «Η ετυμηγορία του Ευρωπαϊκού Δικαστηρίου επιβεβαίωσε την απαράβατη αρχή, στέλνοντας μηνύματα προς κάθε κατεύθυνση, ότι η παρανομία δεν γεννά δίκαιο, όσο κι αν η Τουρκία προσπαθεί να επιβληθεί με την ισχύ των όπλων, όσα χρόνια κι αν περάσουν», πρόσθεσε. «Αυτή η απαράβατη αρχή, αποτελεί ένα από τα σημαντικότερα όπλα που έχουμε στη διπλωματική φαρέτρα μας», είπε ο Πρόεδρος Χριστοδουλίδης. Σημείωσε ότι, παρόλο ότι το Κυπριακό δεν θα λυθεί σε δικαστικές αίθουσες, αλλά σε πολιτικές διαπραγματεύσεις, κανείς δεν μπορεί να διαγράψει τη νομική διάσταση της κατοχής και να απεμπολήσει τα δικαιώματα πολιτών σε ένα κράτος-μέλος της ΕΕ. «Στη βάση, λοιπόν, και αυτών των δεδομένων, η πολιτική που ακολουθούμε για την απαλλαγή από τα δεσμά της κατοχής, στοχεύει σε λύση που θα θέτει τέλος στην υφιστάμενη κατάσταση, να τερματίζει την απαράδεκτη κατάσταση πραγμάτων και να διασφαλίζει τις απαραίτητες προϋποθέσεις για ένα σύγχρονο, λειτουργικό, ευρωπαϊκό κράτος», είπε. «Εργαζόμαστε για μια λύση βιώσιμη, λειτουργική, ανθεκτική και, πρωτίστως, μια λύση που να διασφαλίζει σε όλους τους νόμιμους κατοίκους της χώρας το δικαίωμα να ζουν, να εργάζονται, να δραστηριοποιούνται και να δημιουργούν, όπου το επιλέξουν, σε συνθήκες ειρήνης, ασφάλειας και ευημερίας», είπε ακόμη. Ο Πρόεδρος αναφέρθηκε και στον στόχο που είχε θέσει για την πρωταγωνιστική εμπλοκή της ΕΕ στις διαπραγματεύσεις για επίλυση του Κυπριακού. «Χάρη και στις δικές μας προσπάθειες έχει καταστεί πλέον σαφές σε όλους ότι το Κυπριακό είναι και ευρωπαϊκό πρόβλημα και ακριβώς γι᾽ αυτό η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση οφείλει, έχει υποχρέωση να έχει καθοριστικό λόγο στις εξελίξεις» πρόσθεσε. Σε μια περίοδο, κατά την οποία βρίσκεται σε εξέλιξη η πολύ σημαντική πρωτοβουλία του Γενικού Γραμματέα των Ηνωμένων Εθνών, ο οποίος θα επισκεφθεί την Κύπρο στις 27 έως 29 Ιουλίου, είπε ο Πρόεδρος, «η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση δηλώνει παρούσα, όχι τυπικά αλλά πρωταγωνιστικά». «Και είναι ιδιαίτερα σημαντικό το γεγονός ότι σε αυτή τη σημαντική συγκυρία έχει γίνει σαφές-είναι ο δεύτερος πυλώνας που επιμέναμε στην εμπλοκή της ΕΕ, ο πρώτος αφορά το περιεχόμενο της λύσης του Κυπριακού, ο δεύτερος αφορά την ξεκάθαρη θέση ότι η όποια πρόοδος στα Ευρωτουρκικά συνδέεται άμεσα με ουσιαστικές εξελίξεις στο Κυπριακό», πρόσθεσε. Είναι μια εξέλιξη η οποία είναι αποτέλεσμα της στρατηγικής που υλοποιούμε, σημείωσε. «Το μήνυμά μας, λοιπόν, προς την τουρκική κυβέρνηση, προς τον Τουρκοκύπριο ηγέτη και προς όλους τους ενδιαφερόμενους εντός και εκτός Κύπρου, είναι ότι, ναι, αν υπάρχει πολιτική βούληση μπορούμε να πετύχουμε μια διευθέτηση του Κυπριακού που θα λειτουργεί ευεργετικά για όλα τα ενδιαφερόμενα μέρη», είπε ακόμη ο Πρόεδρος. «Μια διευθέτηση η οποία θα είναι συμβατή με το ευρωπαϊκό καθεστώς της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας» είπε, προσθέτοντας ότι η Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία είναι κράτος μέλος της ΕΕ και θα συνεχίσει και μετά από μια ενδεχόμενη λύση του Κυπριακού να είναι κράτος μέλος, με όλα τα δικαιώματα, όπως και με όλες τις υποχρεώσεις. Πενήντα δύο χρόνια μετά, είπε, «η οφειλή μας είναι μια: Να εργαστούμε για να δικαιώσουμε τις θυσίες όλων αυτών που βρίσκονται στον Τύμβο της Μακεδονίτισσας, όλων αυτών που θυσιάστηκαν για να είμαστε εμείς ελεύθεροι, για να δικαιώσουμε τους αγώνες των πατεράδων μας και των παππούδων μας, που είχαν το σθένος, μέσα από τα χαλάσματα της καταστροφής, να δημιουργήσουν μια χώρα που, είμαι περήφανος να το πω, καταγράφει ζηλευτές επιδόσεις σε όλους τους τομείς, με βασικό στόχο την ενίσχυση, την αναβάθμιση όλων των παραγόντων ισχύος της χώρας μας». Διαβεβαίωσε ακόμη ότι συνεχίσει να εργάζεται στη βάση του όρου εντολής που έλαβε από τον κυρίαρχο λαό, «για λύση που θα απαλλάσσει τη χώρα μας από την κατοχή, θα την ελευθερώνει και θα την επανενώνει». «Η αξίωση ότι τα σύνορα μας είναι στην Κερύνεια δεν είναι σύνθημα, είναι ο στόχος μας για μια λύση που θα διασφαλίζει την πραγματική επανένωση της χώρας στο έδαφος, στους θεσμούς, την οικονομία και κάθε έκφανση της καθημερινότητας» πρόσθεσε. «Δεν νοείται μισό δισεκατομμύριο Ευρωπαίοι πολίτες να έχουν δικαιώματα σε όλη την επικράτεια της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης αλλά οι Κύπριοι Ευρωπαίοι πολίτες να μην έχουμε τα ίδια δικαιώματα στη δική μας πατρίδα», ανέφερε ακόμη. Κλείνοντας, απευθυνόμενος στην Χαρίτα Μάντολες, η οποία ήταν παρούσα στην εκδήλωση, και σε όλους τους Κερυνειώτες, και όλους τους πρόσφυγες, είπε ότι «όσο δύσκολο και αν είναι να πιστέψουμε ότι μας τους έφερε η θάλασσα της Κερύνειας, τόσο αδιανόητο είναι να φανταστούμε επανενωμένη την πατρίδα μας χωρίς να μπορούμε να περπατούμε και να ζούμε ελεύθερα, να κάνουμε ό,τι επιλέγουμε ελεύθερα στην κατεχόμενη σήμερα Κερύνεια και στις υπόλοιπες κατεχόμενες περιοχές». «Δεν μπορεί να υπάρξει βιώσιμο μέλλον όσο η κατοχή αντιμετωπίζεται ως κανονικότητα», είπε ο Δήμαρχος Κερύνειας Για εμάς δεν μπορεί να υπάρξει βιώσιμο μέλλον όσο η κατοχή και όλα τα συνεπακόλουθά εγκλήματα της αντιμετωπίζονται ως κανονικότητα και κυρίως ως μέρος μιας συμφωνίας για την λύση του Κυπριακού, είπε στην δική του ομιλία εκ μέρους των διοργανωτών, ο Δήμαρχος Κερύνειας, Ιωσήφ Βιολάρης. Επεσήμανε ότι το Κυπριακό δεν είναι μια διαφορά ανάμεσα σε δύο κοινότητες που αδυνατούν να συνεννοηθούν, αλλά ότι είναι πρωτίστως πρόβλημα εισβολής, στρατιωτικής κατοχής, παραβίασης του καταστατικού χάρτη των ΗΕ, κατάφορη παραβίαση του διεθνούς δικαίου και των ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων. Αυτή, είπε, είναι η ιστορική αλήθεια, η οποία, όπως σημείωσε, «δεν μπορεί να αποσιωπάται και να εξωραΐζεται». Δεν μπορούμε να αποδεχτούμε, είπε, ότι η παρουσία κατοχικών στρατευμάτων, ο εποικισμός, η καταπάτηση περιουσιών, η αλλοίωση της πολιτιστικής και δημογραφικής τακτικότητας, «αποτελούν μια πραγματικότητα με την οποία οφείλουμε να συμβιβαστούμε». Κάνοντας αναφορά στη νέα κινητικότητα στο Κυπριακό, είπε ότι κάθε προσπάθεια είναι ευπρόσδεκτη, γιατί κανείς δεν επιθυμεί τη διαιώνιση της κατοχής. «Εμείς οι πρόσφυγες, εμείς οι Κερυνιώτες, θέλουμε λύση. Θέλουμε μια λύση που να μας επιτρέπει να επιστρέφουμε πίσω στα σπίτια και στις περιουσίες μας», είπε. Όμως, συνέχισε, η επιθυμία για λύση «δεν μπορεί να μας οδηγεί σε επιλογές που θα δημιουργούν νέες συνθήκες ανασφάλειας και θα φέρνουν τις βάσεις για μελλοντική αποσταθεροποίηση». Είπε ακόμη ότι η νέα κινητικότητα στο Κυπριακό επαναφέρει στο προσκήνιο τη συζήτηση για τις λεγόμενες συγκλίσεις που έχουν επιλεχθεί για τις διαπραγματεύσεις των τελευταίων ετών. Πρόσθεσε ότι οι πολίτες, ωστόσο, εξακολουθούν να μην γνωρίζουν το ακριβές περιεχόμενο, και ότι η δημοσιοποίησή τους θα ενισχύσει την εμπιστοσύνη των πολιτών σε μια διαδικασία που αφορά το μέλλον τους. Αναφέρθηκε στη σημασία της διαφάνειας στη διαδικασία και σημείωσε ότι η προσωπική απεσταλμένη του ΓΓ των ΗΕ, Μαρία Άνχελα Ολγκίν, «δεν άκουσε τον προσφυγικό κόσμο» και ότι «απέφυγε» να συναντήσει τους προσφυγικούς δήμους, κοινότητες και σωματεία. «Θέλουμε να ζήσουμε σε μια Κύπρο ελεύθερη, απαλλαγμένη από τα κατοχικά στρατεύματα, εποίκους, εγγυήσεις και επεμβατικά δικαιώματα, και όλοι οι νόμιμοι κάτοικοι της Κύπρου, Ελληνοκύπριοι, Τουρκοκύπριοι, Αρμένιοι, Μαρωνίτες, και Λατίνοι, να ζούμε σε συνθήκες ελευθερίας, ειρήνης και ενότητας», είπε ο κ. Βιολάρης. Σημειώνοντας ότι η απελευθέρωση της Κύπρου «δεν είναι διαπραγματεύσιμη», είπε, «δεν συμβιβαζόμαστε, δεν παραιτούμαστε, δεν ξεχνούμε. Γιατί τα σύνορα μας είναι στην Κερύνεια». Ιδιαίτερα θλιβερή ημέρα, είπε ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος Στον χαιρετισμό του, ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος Γεώργιος είπε ότι «είναι ιδιαίτερα θλιβερή» η σημερινή ημέρα για την Κερύνεια και τους κατοίκους της, αφού πριν 52 χρόνια η πόλη υπέκυψε στην υπεροπλία των εισβολέων, και ότι έκτοτε, ο εισβολέας έχει επιδοθεί σε μια σκληρή και βάναυση προσπάθεια εκτουρκισμού της πόλης. Ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος έψεξε αυτούς που επισκέπτονται την Κερύνεια και την υπόλοιπη κατεχόμενη γη, Ελληνοκύπριους και τουρίστες, που διαμένουν στα εκεί ξενοδοχεία, την «οικονομική ενίσχυση της κατοχής, και με τον τρόπο αυτό αναγνώριση του ψευδοκράτους». Είπε ακόμη ότι του είναι «ακόμα πιο απαράδεκτο το γεγονός ότι, εσκεμμένα, εξαιρούμε την Κερύνεια από τις διευθετήσεις μας». «Νομίζουμε ότι αν χαρίσουμε μια πόλη και μια επαρχία στον κατακτητή θα κορέσουμε την επεκτατική μανία του», είπε, σημειώνοντας ότι «πλανόμαστε πλάνην οικτράν αν πιστεύουμε πως η Τουρκία ήρθε για ένα μέρος της Κύπρου», και ότι είναι διακηρυγμένη η θέση της για ανάκτηση της Κύπρου. Αν στον αιώνα των ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων και του ευρωπαϊκού κεκτημένου, ως κράτος μέλος της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης αρχίσουμε τις εκπτώσεις στην επιδίωξη των δικαιωμάτων μας, είπε ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος, «ο κατήφορος αυτός δεν θα έχει σταματημό». Είπε ότι αταλάντευτη διεκδίκηση θα πρέπει να είναι για όλους, το ευρωπαϊκό κεκτημένο, ελεύθερη διακίνηση, ελεύθερη εγκατάσταση και ελεύθερη απόκτηση περιουσίας σε όλη την έκταση της Κύπρου. Στους δικούς τους χαιρετισμούς, ο Ιωάννης Λιάσης, Δήμαρχος Αμυνταίου, που είναι αδελφοποιημένο με τον Δήμο Καραβά, και η Μαρία Αγγελοπούλου, Αντιδήμαρχος Αιγιαλείας, η οποία είναι αδελφοποιημένη με τον Δήμο Κερύνειας, έστειλαν μηνύματα αλληλεγγύης και εξέφρασαν την ευχή για την απελευθέρωση της κατεχομένης γης της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας και μία ελεύθερη επαρχία Κερύνειας, και μια δίκαιη λύση για τον λαό της Κύπρου. Κατά την τελετή διαβάστηκε και το ψήφισμα των διοργανωτών, στο οποίο, μεταξύ άλλων καταδικάζουν την κατοχή, εκφράζουν την αλληλεγγύη τους στις οικογένειες των αγνοουμένων και απαιτούν την πλήρη διαλεύκανση της τύχης όλων. Διεκδικούν επίσης μια δίκαιη και βιώσιμη λύση στο κυπριακό πρόβλημα η οποία θα βασίζεται στα ψηφίσματα του Συμβουλίου Ασφαλείας του ΟΗΕ, το Διεθνές Δίκαιο και το Ευρωπαϊκό Κεκτημένο, η οποία θα απαλλάσσει την Κύπρο από τα κατοχικά στρατεύματα και τους εποίκους και θα κατοχυρώνει την εφαρμογή των ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων για όλους τους Κύπριους. Καλούν επίσης τον Πρόεδρο της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας και όλες τις πολιτικές δυνάμεις του τόπου «να σταθούν αλληλέγγυοι στις δίκαιες διεκδικήσεις των Κερυνιωτών και όλων των προσφύγων». Μετά που το ψήφισμα εγκρίθηκε από τους παρευρισκόμενους, αυτό επιδόθηκε από τον Δήμαρχο Κερύνειας στον Πρόεδρο της Δημοκρατίας και στον Αρχιεπίσκοπο. Ακολούθησε κατάθεση στεφάνων. Η εκδήλωση ξεκίνησε με πορεία των προσφυγικών σωματείων της επαρχίας Κερύνειας από το Μνημείο Πεσόντων και Αγνοουμένων του Δήμου προς τον Τύμβο Μακεδονίτισσας υπό την συνοδεία της Φιλαρμονικής της Νεολαίας Δήμου Κερύνειας, άναμμα της φλόγας στον Τύμβο, και με τρισάγιο από τον Αρχιεπίσκοπο Γεώργιο. Στην τελετή παρευρέθηκαν, μεταξύ άλλων, η Υπουργός Παιδείας, η Υφυπουργός Κοινωνικής Πρόνοιας, ο Αναπληρωτής Κυβερνητικός Εκπρόσωπος, ο Μητροπολίτης Κυρηνείας Χρυσόστομος, ο Πρέσβης της Ελλάδας στην Κύπρο, Κωνσταντίνος Κόλλιας, βουλευτές και εκπρόσωποι κομμάτων, και συγγενείς πεσόντων και αγνοουμένων, μεταξύ άλλων. Οι επιθέσεις ιρανικών drones εναντίον εγκαταστάσεων της CIA στην περιοχή του Κόλπου ώθησαν τις αμερικανικές υπηρεσίες πληροφοριών να διερευνούν το ενδεχόμενο ρωσικής εμπλοκής, μέσω παροχής πληροφοριών για τους στόχους ή προηγμένης τεχνολογίας, μεταδίδει σήμερα το πρακτορείο ειδήσεων Reuters επικαλούμενο πληροφορίες από αξιωματούχους που θέλησαν να διατηρήσουν την ανωνυμία τους. Τουλάχιστον δύο εγκαταστάσεις της CIA επλήγησαν τον Μάρτιο. Μια εξ αυτών ήταν στο συγκρότημα της αμερικανικής πρεσβείας στο Ριάντ της Σαουδικής Αραβίας, ενώ η δεύτερη βρισκόταν στο ανατολικό Ιράκ. Ορισμένες πηγές ανέφεραν πως κι άλλες θέσεις της CIA έχουν βρεθεί στο στόχαστρο, χωρίς όμως να υπεισέλθουν σε λεπτομέρειες. Δυτικοί αξιωματούχοι στην περιοχή του Κόλπου πιθανολογούν πως η Ρωσία βοήθησε το Ιράν να βελτιώσει την ικανότητα των μη επανδρωμένων αεροσκαφών Shahed να πλήξουν στόχους με εξαιρετική ακρίβεια. Αμερικανοί αναλυτές εκτιμούν πως δύο προηγμένοι Shahed χρησιμοποιήθηκαν στην επίθεση εναντίον της αμερικανικής πρεσβείας στο Ριάντ. Η ακρίβεια στόχευσης των ιρανικών Shahed-136 αναβαθμίστηκε χάρη στο ρωσικό δορυφορικό σύστημα πλοήγησης Kometa-M, ανέφερε άλλη πηγή. Το Κρεμλίνο διέψευσε τις πληροφορίες αυτές, κάνοντας λόγο για «fake news», ύστερα από ανάλογο δημοσίευμα της Wall Street Journal τον Μάρτιο. Ο Ντάνιελ Χόφμαν, πρώην σταθμάρχης της CIA, δεν θεωρεί πως θα αποτελούσε έκπληξη εάν η Μόσχα βοηθούσε την Τεχεράνη να πλήξει εγκαταστάσεις της CIA, δεδομένης της στρατηγικής συνεργασίας μεταξύ Ρωσίας και Ιράν. «Προσπαθούν να μειώσουν ή να εξαλείψουν την αμερικανική επιρροή σε περιοχές τις οποίες έχουν χαρακτηρίσει σφαίρες επιρροής τους», δήλωσε.
