Έντονη ήταν η παρουσία και δράση της Αστυνομίας το βράδυ που πέρασε, ανά το παγκύπριο, με τη διενέργεια οργανωμένων περιπολιών σε καίρια σημεία αστικών περιοχών, με στόχο την πρόληψη σοβαρών εγκληματικών ενεργειών, τη διασφάλιση της δημόσιας τάξης και την αύξηση του αισθήματος ασφάλειας του κοινού. Αποτέλεσμα των προληπτικών αστυνομικών επιχειρήσεων ήταν η σύλληψη επτά προσώπων για τα αδικήματα όπως, κλοπή οχήματος, παράνομη παραμονή στο έδαφος της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας, παράνομη κατοχή ναρκωτικών, κατοχή διαρρηκτικών εργαλείων κατά την διάρκεια της νύχτας, κ.ά.. Στο πλαίσιο των επιχειρήσεων αυτών, κατά τη διάρκεια της νύχτας, ανακόπηκαν για έλεγχο 622 οχήματα και ελέγχθηκαν 903 πρόσωπα που επέβαιναν σε αυτά. Παράλληλα, διενεργήθηκαν 58 έλεγχοι σε υποστατικά με στόχο την αντιμετώπιση φαινομένων παραβατικότητας, κατά τους οποίους προέκυψαν τέσσερις καταγγελίες. Κατά τη διάρκεια τροχονομικών ελέγχων που διενεργήθηκαν, έγιναν 277 καταγγελίες, που αφορούσαν διάφορες παραβάσεις τροχαίας, ενώ προέκυψαν και 14 διερευνώμενες υποθέσεις παραβάσεων τροχαίας. Από τις καταγγελίες που έγιναν, οι 102 αφορούσαν υπέρβαση του ορίου ταχύτητας, ενώ στο πλαίσιο των αστυνομικών εξετάσεων, κατακρατήθηκαν 14 οχήματα. Επίσης πραγματοποιήθηκαν 310 έλεγχοι αλκοόλης, από τους οποίους προέκυψαν 21 καταγγελίες, καθώς και ένας προκαταρκτικός έλεγχος νάρκοτεστ χωρίς θετικό αποτελέσματα. Οι επιχειρήσεις αστυνόμευσης, για πρόληψη και καταστολή του εγκλήματος, συνεχίζονται καθημερινά, με αυξημένη/ενισχυμένη αστυνομική παρουσία, στοχευμένους ελέγχους και άμεση επιχειρησιακή δράση, με σκοπό την αύξηση του αισθήματος ασφάλειας των πολιτών/την προστασία των πολιτών και τη διασφάλιση της δημόσιας τάξης.
Κινητά τηλέφωνα, υπολογιστές, οικονομικά στοιχεία και νέες καταθέσεις φέρνουν στο προσκήνιο το φερόμενο «πλούσιο καρνέ» των δύο κατηγορουμένων για τον θάνατο του Γιώργου Μαζωνάκη. Τραγουδιστές, ηθοποιοί, σελέμπριτι, επιχειρηματίες, ακόμη και πολιτικοί, φέρεται να περιλαμβάνονται στη λίστα με τις επαφές και τους πελάτες του ζευγαριού, σύμφωνα με τα πρώτα στοιχεία από την ψηφιακή ανάλυση των κατασχεμένων συσκευών. Στα Εγκληματολογικά Εργαστήρια της ΕΛ.ΑΣ. συνεχίζεται η προσπάθεια ανάκτησης διαγραμμένων αρχείων, καθώς οι Αρχές εκτιμούν ότι μπορούν να προκύψουν στοιχεία για τη δραστηριότητα του ζευγαριού. Σύμφωνα με αρμόδιους αξιωματικούς, οι δύο κατηγορούμενοι φέρεται να διέγραφαν συστηματικά δεδομένα από τις συσκευές τους, γεγονός που δημιούργησε ερωτήματα για το εάν επιχειρούσαν να αποκρύψουν στοιχεία σχετικά με το πελατολόγιό τους ή προηγούμενα ραντεβού. Παράλληλα, οι αστυνομικοί αναμένουν τα αποτελέσματα των τοξικολογικών εξετάσεων, αναζητώντας απαντήσεις για τα αίτια του θανάτου του τραγουδιστή. Ο ιατροδικαστής εξετάζει εάν στον οργανισμό του Γιώργου Μαζωνάκη υπήρχαν ουσίες ή εάν του χορηγήθηκε κάποιο σκεύασμα πριν ή κατά τη διάρκεια της θεραπείας πλασμαφαίρεσης στην οδό Καρνεάδου. Τα δύο χρονικά κενά Στο μικροσκόπιο των Αρχών βρίσκονται δύο κρίσιμα χρονικά διαστήματα. Το πρώτο αφορά τα περίπου 43 λεπτά από τη στιγμή που ο Γιώργος Μαζωνάκης φέρεται να έχασε τις αισθήσεις του έως την άφιξη του ΕΚΑΒ. Το δεύτερο αφορά τις περίπου τρεις ώρες που μεσολάβησαν μέχρι το ζευγάρι να παρουσιαστεί στην Ασφάλεια, μετά τη διακομιδή του τραγουδιστή στο νοσοκομείο. Ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον παρουσιάζουν τα στοιχεία από την ανάλυση των κινητών τηλεφώνων. Σύμφωνα με τις πληροφορίες της έρευνας, οι δύο συσκευές παρέμειναν για σημαντικό χρονικό διάστημα κλειδωμένες, ενώ στη συνέχεια ξεκλείδωσαν με διαφορά μόλις λίγων δευτερολέπτων. Το κινητό του 58χρονου παρέμεινε κλειδωμένο, με εξαίρεση ένα διάστημα 36 δευτερολέπτων, ενώ εκείνο της 57χρονης ξεκλείδωσε για 55 δευτερόλεπτα. Οι συσκευές ενεργοποιήθηκαν σχεδόν ταυτόχρονα, στις 16:48:26 και 16:49:17 αντίστοιχα. Το πελατολόγιο και η επέκταση Στο κάδρο της έρευνας παραμένει ο 62χρονος υπνοθεραπευτής, με τον οποίο ο Γιώργος Μαζωνάκης είχε προγραμματισμένο ραντεβού μετά την πλασμαφαίρεση. Ο ίδιος, που αναμένεται να καταθέσει στον ανακριτή, έχει δηλώσει ότι είχε «ανοιχτή συνεργασία» με τη 57χρονη και ότι «αντάλλασσαν πελάτες». Οι Αρχές αναμένεται να αξιοποιήσουν την κατάθεσή του για να σχηματίσουν εικόνα για το πελατολόγιο του ζευγαριού. Παράλληλα, εξετάζεται η φερόμενη προσπάθεια επέκτασης της δραστηριότητάς τους εκτός Αττικής. Σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες, είχαν έρθει σε επικοινωνία με ξενοδοχεία σε Αντίπαρο και Μύκονο για τη χρήση των χώρων τους, ενώ φέρεται να εξεταζόταν και η δημιουργία VIP θερέτρου-κλινικής ευεξίας σε παραθαλάσσια έκταση περίπου 100 στρεμμάτων στην Ερμιονίδα. Στο μικροσκόπιο έχουν μπει και τα οικονομικά τους. Η Αρχή για το Ξέπλυμα Μαύρου Χρήματος ερευνά τα οικονομικά στοιχεία και το «πόθεν έσχες» των δύο κατηγορουμένων, ενώ εξετάζεται και η δραστηριότητά τους στον χώρο των ιατρικών μηχανημάτων. Οι αστυνομικοί διαπίστωσαν ότι το ζευγάρι λειτουργούσε αντιπροσωπεία μηχανημάτων πλασμαφαίρεσης. Σύμφωνα με το ιστορικό μηχανήματος που βρέθηκε στο ιατρείο της οδού Καρνεάδου, φέρεται να πραγματοποιήθηκαν 10 θεραπείες μέσα σε μόλις 12 ημέρες, με οικονομικό όφελος που άγγιζε τις 60.000 ευρώ.
