Χαμός επικρατεί στο ΔΗΚΟ με αφορμή συνέντευξη του προέδρου του κόμματος την περασμένη Κυριακή στην εφημερίδα Πολίτης. Μεταξύ άλλων ο Νικόλας Παπαδόπουλος ερωτήθηκε για το περιβόητο ζήτημα του GSI, το οποίο προκάλεσε αλεπάλληλες τριβές στο προσκήνιο αλλά και στο παρασκήνιο. Ο Πρόεδρος του ΔΗΚΟ καυτηρίασε για μια ακόμη φορά τη στάση του Υπουργού Οικονομικών ο οποίος διαχώρισε τη θέση του για τη δημιουργία του εν λόγω καλωδίου προτάσσοντας κυρίως το οικονομικό κόστος. Αυτούσια η ερώτηση και η απάντηση του στην εφημερίδα Πολίτης Παλαιότερα είχατε πει ότι υπάρχουν αντιφάσεις στις δηλώσεις κυβερνητικών αξιωματούχων για το έργο της ηλεκτρικής διασύνδεσης. Σήμερα είσαστε ευχαριστημένοι με τη στάση της Κυβέρνησης Χριστοδουλίδη στο θέμα του GSI; Και εξακολουθούν να υπάρχουν αντιφάσεις. Για παράδειγμα, έχουμε χαιρετίσει τις δηλώσεις του Προέδρου της Δημοκρατίας, ο οποίος όχι μόνο έχει πει πως το έργο θα προχωρήσει, αλλά έχει ξεκαθαρίσει πως θα καταβληθούν όλα τα ποσά που οφείλει να καταβάλει η Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία με την έκδοση της NAVTEX από την Ελληνική Κυβέρνηση τις επόμενες μέρες. Μια απόλυτα ορθή θέση, με την οποία ως ΔΗΚΟ συμφωνούμε, καθώς η ηλεκτρική διασύνδεση θα μας αναβαθμίσει γεωστρατηγικά, θα προσφέρει ηλεκτρική επάρκεια και θα μειώσει τις τιμές του ρεύματος. Από την άλλη, όμως, ο υπουργός Οικονομικών συνεχίζει να δαιμονοποιεί το έργο με κάθε ευκαιρία, χωρίς ωστόσο να μας παραπέμπει σε οποιεσδήποτε μελέτες ή και στοιχεία που να υποστηρίζουν την άποψή του. Επομένως, για εμάς εγείρεται ένα πάρα πολύ σοβαρό ερώτημα: Γιατί, κατά τον υπουργό Οικονομικών, ο Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας προωθεί ένα έργο που, κατά τον ίδιο, θα είναι καταστροφικό για τη χώρα; Και αν διαφωνεί σε τέτοιο βαθμό ο υπουργός Οικονομικών με αυτό το έργο, γιατί τότε δεν παραιτείται; Η απάντηση Κεραυνού στον ΑΝΤ1 Την εν λόγω δήλωση σχολίασε ο Μάκης Κεραυνός σε συνέντευξη του στον ΑΝΤ1 και τον Νικήτα Κυριάκου. Ερωτηθείς εάν είχε δει τη συγκεκριμένη δήλωση, ο Μάκης Κεραυνός απάντησε: «Νομίζω πρέπει εδώ να συζητάμε σοβαρά θέματα και όχι γελοιότητες της πολιτικής. Εγώ ανήκω στο κόμμα στο οποίο βρίσκεται ο Νικόλας Παπαδόπουλος, δεν ξέρω αυτός αν το αναγνωρίζει ότι ανήκω. Δεν με ενόχλησε η δήλωσή του αυτή γιατί πάντα ασχολούμαι με σοβαρά θέματα που απασχολούν τους πολίτες αυτής της χώρας και το μέλλον της χώρας μας». Η ανακοίνωση του ΔΗΚΟ Η εν λόγω δήλωση φυσικά προκάλεσε την αντίδραση του ΔΗΚΟ το οποίο εξέδωσε σχετική ανακοίνωση εκφράζοντας λύπη για την απαξιωτική όπως τη χαρακτήρισε δήλωση του κ.Κεραυνού. Αυτούσια η ανακοίνωση Το Δημοκρατικό Κόμμα εκφράζει τη λύπη του για τον απαξιωτικό τρόπο με τον οποίο ο Υπουργός Οικονομικών αναφέρθηκε σήμερα σε εκπομπή του τηλεοπτικού σταθμού ΑΝΤΕΝΝΑ, στα πολιτικά κόμματα της Κύπρου, και ιδιαίτερα, στο ΔΗΚΟ και στον πρόεδρο του ΔΗΚΟ. Αναφορές όπως «γελοιότητες της πολιτικής», «αυτοί είναι οι πολιτικοί μας στην Κύπρο» και σε «εμμονές» υποβιβάζουν το επίπεδο της πολιτικής και του πολιτικού λόγου. Καταρχήν οφείλουμε να υπενθυμίσουμε στον κ. Κεραυνό, ότι για να πανηγυρίζει σήμερα για την αναβάθμιση της κυπριακής οικονομίας σε βαθμίδα «Α», αυτό οφείλεται μεταξύ άλλων και στην υπευθυνότητα του Δημοκρατικού Κόμματος. Το Δημοκρατικό Κόμμα υποστήριξε με πολιτικό κόστος την οικονομική πολιτική που οδήγησε στην ανάκαμψη και στις αναβαθμίσεις της Κυπριακής οικονομίας. Μαθήματα πολιτικής υπευθυνότητας το Δημοκρατικό Κόμμα δεν δέχεται από κανένα. Σε ότι αφορά τον GSI, η απλή ερώτηση που υποβλήθηκε στον κ. Κεραυνό είναι η ακόλουθη: αν θεωρεί αυτό το έργο επιζήμιο για τα συμφέροντα της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας τότε γιατί δεν παραιτείται; Είτε το έργο θα είναι καταστροφικό για την Κύπρο και τότε, αν πραγματικά πιστεύει κάτι τέτοιο, οφείλει να παραιτηθεί, είτε το έργο είναι ωφέλιμο για την χώρα μας και για αυτό τον λόγο δεν χρειάζεται να παραιτηθεί. Ουδέποτε ζητήθηκε η παραίτηση του κ. Κεραυνού όπως ο ίδιος ισχυρίστηκε. Αυτό που σίγουρα δεν μπορεί να συνεχιστεί είναι δηλώσεις του είδους «μία στο καρφί και μια στο πέταλο». Γιατί ύψιστη γελοιότητα, είναι να ισχυρίζεται υπουργός της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας πως δεν πρέπει να συμμορφωθούμε με τις υποχρεώσεις μας απέναντι στην Ελλάδα και τον Ελληνικό λαό, ιδιαίτερα όταν οι Έλληνες καταναλωτές έχουν ήδη αρχίσει να πληρώνουν τον GSI στους λογαριασμούς τους. Διαβεβαιώνουμε τέλος τον Υπουργό Οικονομικών πως καμία εμμονή δεν υπάρχει με το πρόσωπο του. Η εμμονή του ΔΗΚΟ έχει να κάνει με την ανάγκη μείωσης του κόστους του ηλεκτρισμού. Αντίθετα, ο ίδιος ο Υπουργός Οικονομικών οφείλει να ξεκαθαρίσει γιατί εμμονικά πολεμά τον GSI, ένα έργο που αν υλοποιηθεί, θα συγκρουστεί με τα συμφέροντα των μονοπωλίων και τον ολιγοπωλίων που θέλουν να κρατήσουν το κόστος της ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας στα ύψη. «Δεν είναι σημερινός στην πολιτική» Το όλο συμβάν σχολίασε στο Πρωτοσέλιδο το πρωί της Τρίτης ο ΓΓ του ΔΗΚΟ Γιώργος Σολωμού ο οποίος είπε ότι ενδεχομένως να έγινε παρερμηνεία μιας πολιτικής συνέντευξης. Παράλληλα διερωτήθηκε αν αποτελεί γελοιότητα το ότι το ΔΗΚΟ είναι το μοναδικό κόμμα που στηρίζει την κυβέρνηση Χριστοδουλίδη ενόψει και του προϋπολογισμού που θα οδηγηθεί στη Βουλή για ψήφιση. «Ο κ.Κεραυνός δεν είναι σημερινός στην πολιτική. Θα έπρεπε να είμαστε πολύ πιο προσεκτικοί όταν αναφέρεσαι στον κόσμο ενός κόμματος και τον Πρόεδρο ενός κόμματος. Όταν αναφέρεσαι και λες «γελοιότητες της πολιτικής και εγώ ασχολούμαι με σοβαρά θέματα..». Ο κ.Σολωμού έφερε ως παράδειγμα τη στήριξη των προϋπολογισμών καθώς και της μεταρρύθμισης. Ερωτηθείς αν ανήκει στο ΔΗΚΟ ο κ.Κεραυνός ο κ.Σολωμού είπε ότι διορίστηκε σε ημικρατικό οργανισμό επί Τάσσου Παπαδόπουλου, ΥΠΟΙΚ επίσης επί Τάσσου Παπαδόπουλου. «Προέρχεται από τις τάξεις του ΔΗΚΟ τώρα αν διαφωνεί δεν μπορώ να το ξέρω.. Ίσως παρερμήνευσε την συνέντευξη του Νικόλα και να το πήρε ως προσωπικό θέμα», ανέφερε ΔΗΣΥ: Στήριξη στο ΔΗΚΟ και πυρά κατά κυβέρνησης για GSI Ο ΔΗΣΥ με ανακοίνωσή του χθες δήλωσε ότι στηρίζει τη θέση του ΔΗΚΟ για τον Great Sea Interconnector (GSI), ζητώντας από την κυβέρνηση συγκεκριμένες και πειστικές απαντήσεις για την πορεία του έργου. Παράλληλα, επικρίνει το ύφος και τις αναφορές του Υπουργού Οικονομικών, υποστηρίζοντας ότι υποβαθμίζουν τόσο τον πολιτικό διάλογο όσο και τη σημασία της ηλεκτρικής διασύνδεσης. Το κόμμα επισημαίνει ότι ένα έργο που χαρακτηρίζεται στρατηγικής και εθνικής σημασίας δεν μπορεί να συνοδεύεται από αντιφατικές τοποθετήσεις και έλλειψη σαφούς πολιτικής βούλησης. Τονίζει ακόμη ότι ο GSI πρέπει να ενισχύσει τη συνεργασία Κύπρου–Ελλάδας και να αποτελέσει βάση για ευρύτερες ηλεκτρικές διασυνδέσεις με την ΕΕ, το Ισραήλ και άλλες χώρες, με στόχο την άρση της ενεργειακής απομόνωσης της Κύπρου και την ενίσχυση του ανταγωνισμού προς όφελος των καταναλωτών.
