Ενώπιον του Μόνιμου Κακουργιοδικείου, το οποίο θα συνεδριάσει στις 7 Οκτωβρίου 2026, θα παραπεμφθεί ο 51χρονος μοναχός της Ιεράς Μονής Αγίου Νεοφύτου, σε σχέση με διερευνώμενη υπόθεση απόπειρας φόνου που σημειώθηκε στον χώρο της Μονής στις 7 Αυγούστου. Σύμφωνα με τον ανταποκριτή του Σίγμα, Μάριο Ιγνατίου, η απόφαση για την κράτηση του θα εκδοθεί στις 18 Αυγούστου η ώρα 0900. Μέχρι τότε o κατηγορούμενος θα παραμείνει υπο κράτηση. Economic sentiment in Cyprus improved for the fourth consecutive month in July, on improved business confidence in the services and retail trade sectors, according to the benchmark index compiled by the Economics Research Centre of the University of Cyprus.
